Nothing Exra/No O ring
Any one who has had this thermostat apart will know the stock thermo has a oring around the diameter of the center "wings" that seats up against the thermostat body. This is exactly what is pictured and I cannot believe gates sends a product out that is not plug and play. If you use just this thermo without buying a large o ring kit or pasting rtv all over the edges and letting it sit for 6 hours your going to have leaks and over heat..luckily I <3 gates or I would send this back.

Works exactly as it’s supposed to.
I purchased this thermostat for my 1984 Chevy S10 with the 2.8l v-6. It fit perfectly and opens exactly when it should. It replaced the original thermostat that stopped working.
