They Work But Installation Instructions Are Nonexistent
The only instructions that come with the units are for the remote control and they are not clear. After some serious 'modding' I was able to customize the motors for use on my theater room glass block windows.I used a 1" pvc conduit to attach the shade material. This meant reducing the side of the rubber covered plastic motor drive wheel to fit it into the pvc conduit. To ensure it didn't slip inside the roller I drilled a small hole in the the conduit into the drive wheel and countersunk a screw. At the opposite end the white plastic splined wheel had to be reduced in diameter to fit into the pvc conduit, as well. You'll have to do the math as to how long the roller should be for your particular window. I used vinyl drapery backing for my roller shade material and attached it to the pvc roller with thin double faced tape. My shade fabric rolls on the front side of the roller so I needed to determine how to reverse the motor from the initial setup. It took a while to determine how to do that from the remote control instructions. After programming each blind individually by simply unplugging one shade after programming it then program the second shade; then plugged the first shade back into the power outlet. Now one remote controls both shades,They work great.
