I got this for my husband who likes to make tea and coffee. He has been using it every day for about a month, and it works great. Heats up in about 4 minutes and is quiet (not completely but it’s not loud or annoying). I’ve used it for soup too and it was great. I love the sleek design as well. I would recommend this purchase.

I bought this because I was looking for a gooseneck kettle to make better pour over coffee and needed something compact so I could bring it to the office if needed. Small enough to not take up room but large enough to boil water for at least 2 cups. Stays hot long enough and boils quick.

This is an update.When the seller was notified of the issue with their product they replaced it. They assured me they were look into why mine quit.Great customer service & I’m very happy with the outcomeSo I’m writing an updated review as it simply just quit working.Sadly it died in less than six monthsWe used it nearly every day to make tea but it should be built for this type of use. I loved it while it worked but I will not buy this brand again. I’m embarrassed that I’ve recommended it to friends and I hope they have better luckWe haven’t had the electric Kettle long but so far we love it. It heats quickly. It is so much nicer than using my microwave.In addition, it looks nice. Also it was reasonably priced. I’m very satisfied

UPDATE:The customer service representative for the company that sells this kettle did reach out to me, and we exchanged several emails. Essentially, what I found out is that at least one run of these kettles was mismarked, so that the 2 liter mark was lower than it should have been. I have attached two pictures to this review. The first shows the electric kettle that I received. In that one, the Max mark (2,000 ml) is 49 mm above the surface that the kettle is sitting on. The second shows a picture that I was sent of a kettle from the factory. That shows the Max mark at 58 mm. In other words, there is a 9 mm (0.35 inch) difference between the kettle that I received and the marking that the kettle was supposed to have. That would account for the roughly 250 ml of water that I noted was "missing" in my original review.I have been assured that despite the marking on my kettle, the kettle is designed to safely hold 2 liters of water. We have been using the kettle filled with 2 liters of water, and have not had a problem.I have decided to raise my rating to 4 stars from the original 3. The kettle does appear to be working as described by the seller, safely holding 2 liters of water, even though it is mismarked.I also want to note that while the seller did offer to exchange the kettle, the seller was not able to guarantee that any kettle I received in exchange would be marked correctly, so I declined that offer. Instead, we did reach a financial settlement of a partial refund.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I was excited to see a 2 liter electric kettle for sale. We make a LOT of iced tea in my house. We do it by putting tea bags into a large 2 liter measuring cup, and then filling that with boiling water. For several years, we have been heating water in a 1.75 liter electric kettle, filling the measuring cup, and then heating more water to fill the cup up to the 2 liter mark. That electric kettle recently died. I figured with this new electric kettle, I would only need to boil water once, rather than twice. WRONG.While this new kettle is marked as holding 2 liters at the max fill line, it turns out that just like the other kettles available on Amazon, the actual volume is only 1.75 liters. Yes, when it came up short the first time I used it, I measured. When I filled to the 2 liter mark and poured the water into my 2 liter measuring cup, the water only came up to the 1.75 liter mark.As for boiling water, it does that fine. I can clean it easily. But, my old electric kettle was just as easy to clean.In other words, if you need a 1.75 liter electric kettle, this is just as good as the others being sold on Amazon. But if you really want a 2 liter electric kettle, despite the seller's description and the markings on the kettle itself, this kettle will not be what you are looking for.
