The most important thing to know is this radio has poor rx filtering.
I really like the feel and the operation of the radio however the radio still has the same issue of poor front end rejection as the previous Icom airband portables making the radio vunerable to interference. I have used other airband radios from other manufactures such as Vertex and their Airband radios do not have the receive interference issue as the Icom does!

Best out there.
The best available, in my opinion after doing a lot of research. More power, better display type, intuitive buttons, clear audio, easy recharge cradle, and all the features you’d ever want (unless you need a handheld for instrument landings). I’d buy the same one again. Definitely.

Expensive, but worth the buckage..
I use this radio as a backup when I am Paramotoring, to basically listen in on air traffic, and some VOR navigation

Easily knocked off frequency.
This will be a wonderful radio when you take it out of the box and play with it. You will like using it to contact tower before firing up your engine. In not perfect conditions when its dark and turbulent and you are fully task saturated with an emergency, you will find the radio off frequency and not realize it.The top center coaxial knob is used to change the frequency in tiny useless increments but enough to knock you off frequency if you inadvertently brush against it. This is not suitable for active use in a pocket or pouch. You will not be on the desired frequency when you pull it out of you pocket.I am sure this works fine if it is sitting on your desk except it still takes numerous numerous turns of the knob to change to a standard frequency. The GPS graphic nav display does not show graphic information in a useful manner. I forget the details since it has been about a year since I returned it and purchased an old school and ugly rock solid Yaesu 750L.For years I carried my personal Icom handheld marine band in my leg pocket while flying in the Coast Guard. I loved that little radio but the A25N is a disappointment.

Product as expected BUT
Ok so, I will update this once I have a chance to use the product. But hopefully the carrier will take not of this. You put your own warehouse sticker over the UPC on the box and I can't apparently register the device in case of a need for warranty because when I tried to take your sticker off it pealed up the sticker behind it. Kind of annoying.
