Thou sound system is just a-ok level, yet still acceptable. Totally recommend for someone who wants a quality product with decent price.

TCL did it again! Brilliant TV.
So far, so good. This is the second TCL TV that I have purchased in the 2 years, and again, I'm not disappointed with taking a punt on TCL. Moving away from the big name brands of TV's that I have had in the past such as Samsung & Sony can fill you with a bit of trepidation but there is simply nothing to worry about.IMAGE - As seems to be standard with TCL the settings the TV ships with (picture wise), do need a fair bit of tinkering. In my case I had to up the clarity of the image and take a little bit of the brightness out, but once you've done that it's crystal clear. Hands down, it's one of the best images I've seen (I've also got a 55" Samsung OLED - this competes with that!). I've had zero issues with colour banding, ghosting or other modern day TV maladies.SOUND - The sound is exceptional - I was looking at getting a Hisense soundbar to beef up the sound but it's simply not needed. Dialogue is crystal clear and the bass is just enough (you can adjust all this to your needs though, so if you want more bass just up it in the audio menu). The sound is punchy though.OS - I had read on other TCL TVs horror stories with the Google TV operating system (which TBF I had encountered on my old Sony Bravia), but again whatever processor TCL is using it's fast, no lag, no menu hanging. So 10/10 for functionality.TV and remote - all was shipped in a well packaged box, it arrived on time with no damage, everything feels well made, and once you've paired up the Bluetooth remote you are away to the races. I've even paired up the TV with my PS5/PS4 controller, making going through menus even faster.Aerial/Terrestrial TV - It offers these services, but who really uses them these days. The one fault I may lay at the feet of TCL - again, if you are watching terrestrial TV or older content, the way TCL TVs process this image is not ideal so you will get a very distorted image.Beyond that, this is a steal of a TV! I just wish I had waited till the Amazon Prime Day deals - £85 cheaper! Oh well.Buy this TV, you will not be disappointed with your purchase, this rivals the big boys.

High quality panel, low quality processor
This tv actually exceeded my expectations regarding local dimming which makes content pop (especially those mastered in hdr) and the motion smoothing option is actually nice despite the hate around it.I personally don't like smart TVs, I'd prefer if it it was just a regular tv and use a fire stick or something else that can be upgradable and not reliant on the processor (which I'll get to) but that's just a general issue with most modern tvs.Ignoring this, it has some strong smart features such as built-in apple airplay to connect to the tv for any screen sharing use cases and all the apps you might want to use. Wifi connection is stable but it's close to the router so that isn't a high barThere are 2 main issues with it though, the processor is very slow which causes a lot of lag especially shortly after turning on the tv. This problem goes away quickly but you sometimes have to turn the tv off and on again which is annoying. The other issue is with the channels, some channels (off the top of my head, dave) will be unnaturally saturated. You can fix this by changing the display mode from hdr to standard, but you can't change it for specific channels so it's annoying to deal with.Overall, movies and even tv shows look really good (for reference I have a qd oled monitor to compare it to), while not quite oled levels of black, it gets very bright with no fear of burn in.

Great upgrade
Pro's- Great picture especially for the price (you do need to play around with settings though to find the right one for you and I Imagine it will depend on room).- I'm using Sky which has a HDR output and that gives a really lovely picture. Also as I use most of the apps through sky (Netflix, Prime, Disney etc) they get a great picture too.- Sounds is actually pretty good for a thin TV- Copes with blacks pretty well. Been watching solar system and lots of deep black with bright lights and watching in a dark room I was genuinely impressed.- Set up was very easy, device was light and easy to maneuver- My Xbox series X works really and picture is great with no noticeable lagCons- UI is 'ok' on the homepage and does autoload Sky when I switch sky on, but the UI on the homescreen is ok, without being world beating- The besel and base is fine, without being inspiring- More ability to use screen as a photo frame, screen etc would have been great.- Movie mode in settings, even in the darkest of room is basically unwatchable
