Revlon Shoot the Moon Collection Super Lustrous Lipstick, Rise up Rose [Amazon Exclusive]

I was very excited to get a nice, colourful lipstick off Amazon and was waiting anxiously for the day it arrived. Unfortunately, much like Disney’s recent remakes of classic films, it was a major disappointment. The texture was horrible, it was like a stick of coloured grease was trying to make some kind of effort to do the bare minimum of its job, but somehow it even drastically failed at that. The colour, if you could even see it properly, was not a “Sky blue” but more of a “Deformed Barnie the dinosaur”. And you could barely see the colour thanks to the fact that it was so sheer no amount trying would get it opaque. I am currently looking for a replacement for this sad exuse of a waxy crayon

Seems like a nice lipstick but the Sky Blue shade just isn't blue. It is actually a nice dark purple unfortunately not what my costume needed

Revlon Shoot the Moon Collection Super Lustrous Lipstick, Marooned on Mars [Exclusive Collection] as well as the shade Dark Night Queen are beautiful to apply lipsticks which can be used to create different looks depending on how you apply.1. First, the (Metallic) Marooned on Mars which is No 064 is a beautiful deep wine colour which has a very fine glitter effect throughout it. This is my favourite and I know I will be getting plenty of wear throughout the Christmas season.When I first noticed the glitter, I thought it would have a gritty feel to it but thankfully I am happy to report, the lipstick glided on to my lips leaving a lovely colour and a nice glitter which really enhances the colour without bringing a lot of attention. The glitter brings an enlightening effect which is described as cosmic by Revlon which is the perfect name for it. I like how I can have a little effect or full on glitzy effect by the simple changing of the application.2. The second colour I received was another Metallic Shade and it was a No 063 Odyssey which a very dark rich colour with a light glitter is, this is another great lipstick from Revlon and one I am using for Halloween as when applied using two coats it resembles a dark night sky with stars gently appearing. Perfect for those dressing up outfits when darkness is the key to your cosmetic trend.3. The third shade I received was Power Move and, in my opinion, this is one lipstick which is powerful and strong. This is a lovely lipstick to apply, the colour is strong and vibrant, and it is one lipstick which will be noticed by everyone you meet when worn if you like to be noticed this is one lipstick shade I would happily recommend.The other colours in the range were so different from each other, the only similarity was the fact each colour stood out in the crowd. The colours are strong and vibrant, the lipstick is so moisturising making them a range of lipsticks which I do like. This is not a range of lipsticks you would want to wear if you do not want to be noticed is one small point I would like to make. I also would recommend you apply a lip liner prior to application as the colours being so strong would make them a lipstick I would do anything to prevent bleeding into the fine lines around the mouth area.Revlon Shoot the Moon Collection Super Lustrous Lipstick range is a range of cosmetic lipsticks which are perfect if you want to stand out in the crowd with a bit of glitz and glamour without damaging your delicate skin. The glitz is bright and plentiful but once applied it feels lustrous, moisturising and enhancing on your lips which makes it very easy for me to recommend this range of lipsticks.

Revlon Shoot the Moon Collection Super Lustrous Lipstick - Blue SkyThis is lipstick is different in two ways: first, the colour is a dark purplish blue; and second the standard plastic lipstick barrel is embellished with stars, UFOs and rockets.Part of the new Shoot the Moon collection, the product is eye-catching. In the photos in the online listing, the lipstick case looks like the usual quality Revlon product. However, in the flesh, it looks plasticky (it is just blue plastic with the silvery gold design printed on flat). The lipstick itself is called Blue Sky, but when worn on the lips is more of a dark navy purple. Bear that in mind if intending to coordinate it with an outfit. It is a matte finish and very dark, and wears off in the middle if you eat or drink leaving your mouth outlined in dark blueish purple with red in the middle - a bit of a corpse look! Perhaps this particular colour is aimed at people wishing to dress up for Halloween.For sale at the time of writing this review at £6.40 (RRP £7.99).

Well I'm perfectly in time for Halloween as this colour really doesn't suit me lol!! Ignoring the fact that the colour makes me look like I'm a) in fancy dress or b) suffering from an illness then the actual product is good. So colour aside (which we've established makes me look strange) the lipstick applied well although it did take a few goes to get it going the first time. I blotted after application but I didn't use a lip liner as I was only reviewing so make sure you do as if you've got some laughter lines it will bleed. I drank a lot of cold liquid whilst wearing and it didn't budge much.
