Incredible Carburetor!
So my 2008 Suzuki Dr-z has had issues since I bought the thing new it'd kind of lug in a certain speed range or act like it was dieing for a moment then run perfect again then it'd foul the plug and I couldn't start it. So without much knowledge of the mechanical world of dirt bikes I sent it to lets say repair shop A I am assuming they cleaned the spark plug or put a new one in and just gave it back to me for $50. Needless to say same problems arise again I send it to repair shop B:$30 he had it running perfect but as soon as the weather changed the problems arose again. So I decide to figure out how to work on the dirt bike carburetor because the shops around me aren't working for me.I must of taken it apart 10 to 20 times and messed with the pilot main jet side jets ect all jets the floats checked all the parts only to find out that every adjustment I did didn't work and with the bike fouling the plugs after just a few rides it was really driving me crazy. That is when I learned that to meet EPA emissions standards Suzuki tampered with the fuel screw to make it where you couldn't tamper with it and set it wrong out of factory!Bought this carb for 37.77 and it got here very fast and I put it into the bike try and start her up.. nothing she doesn't want to start and when it would it'd die back down again like before.. uh-o I clean the plug with some carb cleaner still nothing.. uh-o.. take the sandblaster/aircleaner to the plug where it looks like new..Starts right up first kick and has ran better than it did off the showroom floor and I now have a fuel screw I can adjust!Idles lovely now too the sound has changed into a very smooth but loud and fast put put put and it'll continue to idle before after 5 minutes or so it'd just die from idling not anymoreFor those who i have seen ask well what about the gasket cover to the left that seems to be missing? That's sealed up and is solid metal so everything is their that you need all you've got to do or at least what I did was take off the top with the throttle needle and spring dump that out and screw on your original throttle needle/spring combo and it screws right onto this carb no problem saved me a lot of hassle.Couldn't be happier

Saved My Bike
I was ready to junk my Suzuki DR-Z 125. Starting it might require 100 kicks (no joke), it would not idle, and restarting it was a crap shoot - more than once requiring me to walk back to the house in a huff. I cleaned the carb frequently, which seemed to change performance, but the reliability problems always returned. I read online that these bikes were outfitted with some sort of eco-friendly carb (really, people?) that might be the problem. This cheap Chinese carburetor solved it all. The install was easy (as it would be, of course), and now I have a different bike. It often starts on one kick, it will idle, and restarting is reliable. I do often have to run it with a little bit of choke to maintain an idling speed, but with this bike I am no longer picky. Performance through all bands is great - as it was with the stock carb - the different being that with this Caltric I can start the bike and keep it running. There are better products out there at premium prices, but if you have the situation I had (which I understand might occur among some Kawasakis), this carb will give you your bike back.

Great bike with the exception of the difficultly in getting ...
Just bought a 2006 DR-Z125 for my son. Great bike with the exception of the difficultly in getting it started. Thought this can't be normal. Got online and found out about the blocked fuel screw issue with the stock carburetor. Rather than making the modification and messing with any cleaning/rebuild kit that may also be necessary, I took the advice of others who had already been down this road to buy this replacement carburetor from the start. Arrived within 3-4 days from time of order. In order to keep the original throttle cable just swapped out the old slide and associated parts with the new ones that come with the new carb. Also, determined that what appears to a missing part on one side of the new carb is associated with the Diaphram Assy from the old carb. This feature is not plumbed in the new carb casting and, therefore, is not used? No need to worry about moving it. Since this replacement carburetor has been installed all that's required is a little choke, 2 -3 kicks and it starts every time. What a huge improvement and thanks to those with wise advise.

... my son's 2006 Kawasaki KLX 125 and it works beautifully! Probably the best $26
I ordered this for my son's 2006 Kawasaki KLX 125 and it works beautifully! Probably the best $26.00 I've ever spent. It cost about the same as a rebuild kit but I was able to have the bike running in under 45 minutes! I figured it would need some adjustments out of the box but that was not the case, I simply pulled the old carburetor and installed this one. It runs better than it ever has and for this price, it is not even worth wasting your time cleaning a carburetor much less doing a rebuild. The shipping was extremely fast as well, it was supposed to arrive in 4 to 5 days and I had it in 2. I can not speak to durability since I have only installed it and ran it today, but for $26.00 does it really matter? It at least appears to be as well built as the original equipment.

This 10 year old bike now runs better than new
I honestly was not expecting much, since the total cost of this carb is less than replacement jets. This solved the notorious DRZ125 crummy fueling problem. I unboxed the carb, installed higher altitude main and pilot jets, and swapped the slide and needle onto my current carb top without disconnecting the cable. 10 minutes start to finish and the bike started up first kick. This 10 year old bike now runs better than new.The best part is the caltric carb comes with an adjustable needle, which is crucial to fine tuning. Came with all new hose and air lines.

Up and running
Carb worked as should after a little adjusting, but well worth the money, will order again if needed.

its really not a bad carb considering the price
its really not a bad carb considering the price. the pilot screw was 4.5 turns out from the box so i started it at 2.5 turns and had to turn it in some. if its not going on a race bike its more than good enough to get you on the trails

Amazing carb!
I was tired of having mechanic rebuild my old carb every couple of years. This new one was cheaper than 1 service and works perfectly. Jetting is also improved. Great price!
