This riser works well. Everything went together smoothly except the handles did not want to slide into their slots too easily untill I sprsyed some Slick 50 on the metal tubes , then it went in with no problem.

Sturdy. Installs easily. Handles great especially if you can't or don't want to install wall handholds. Cleans easily. Stable for the elderly or infirm.

If you arent skinny, leave off the handles. They squeeze your thighs together. Otherwise, much better and more comfortable than other raised seats that don’t connect to the toilet or seat strongly. They tilt or come off.

This item is pretty comfortable and really help to keep you from sitting too low" especially for hip replacement patients and helps you to raise up easily off the toilet effortlessly...However caution! But after a short period down the road...the item becomes lose and unstable and the screws becom really rusty and unable to undo. And last but not least..I'm gonna start charging for these reviews cause it's beginning to feel like a 9 to 5 I'm out'

This was purchased for an upcoming hip replacement. Our "regular" installed toilets are "comfort height". This product offered an additional 4"+ height to our already tall toilets, plus side rail support. My height is 5'6". One feature that was important, was that our "regular" toilet seat went on top of the riser. DH installed this in the matter of minutes. 9 weeks later, it has only had to be retightened 1x. The handles are sturdy and easy to push off of when standing. The product has been a true help in providing comfort and security. This riser was worth every penny! The additional 4+ inches in height made all the difference in comfort for my hip. Make sure to measure your hip width if you are a plus size person to make sure you'll fit comfortably between the side handles. Highly recommend this product.

My wife selected this product since she would need it after undergoing a knee replacement. We weren't sure that it would be exactly what we needed, but it is nearly perfect. Installation was easy. The only thing that needed care was to make sure that the wing nuts did not cross-thread when installed on the bolts. I was working in a small area, and installing the wing nuts was done by touch. The bolts were of sufficient length to allow enough movement to get it right. The toilet is a Kohler, and the existing seat was one that lowers slowly, and the riser fit well. My wife is quite pleased, and this will save her considerable effort and pain when getting up from the toilet. The one drawback is that I will have to improve my aim considerably (older guys will understand what I mean).

I bought this for my 88 year old dad. He was adamant about not having a frame-like device that surrounds the toilet and the bars are on the floor. So he looked at this one and told me to order it. It arrived quickly and we installed it. He loves it. It is very sturdy and it helps him so much. His hip and knee both are totally worn out. It is a good quality product. He has an older round toilet and it fit, but he had to buy a new toilet seat that would fit this device better than the one he had.

I used this to recover from a cosmetic procedure that made sitting down on the toilet difficult and painful. I used these handles to support my weight rather than the seat most times. I’ve been using it for a month and it’s held up nicely!

Easy install. The best feature is that you can attach your existing lid and seat. found it to be very uswful

I am returning this, like I did the other different one I bought, not because it is defective but just because it was too small for my buxom bottom. Attached fine and was sturdy but it seems to me the handles, just like the other one, are not made for a larger sized person. If you are smaller you will find this works well for you.

Mother needed such an item but there was no room for extra framing around the toilet area, so with the handles secure in the seat and adjustable too, I was able to make her life much more secure with this item. Of course attaching as they do through the holes in the toilet, these seats can become a little askew so one must check to see if it is tight so it does not slip and throw the user off balance. just one more very important issue in caring for a very aged parent.

Good for seniors with balance issues.

Bought for my senior father - works great and is sturdy. The screws are larger so they do not fit all toilet seats. If you have a standard seat with smaller plastic screws they will not fit.
