⏰ Time waits for no one—make it count!
The SkyScan Atomic Digital Clock is a cutting-edge timepiece that automatically sets itself and adjusts for Daylight Saving Time. With a clear 3-inch display, it provides indoor and outdoor temperature readings, max/min temperature memory, and supports four continental time zones, making it the perfect companion for the modern professional.

Best clock of this type
This clock is a good size and the time numbers are big and easy to see from afar. There are many other useful features. It counts seconds which none of my other digital clocks do and includes temps inside and out and date. The temps show trending up or down although those displays are too small unless you're close to the clock. You have to remember that the left temperature reading is inside and the right outside because the boxes telling you that are tiny. Mostly that's not a problem since the temperature differences are a big clue. The other displays aren't really needed except when you're setting the clock up to begin with. It's helpful to have the time zone (only US) shown and the fact that Daylight Savings is set to operate automatically (set on). It's also useful to know that the clock has connected to Colorado so you know that it will set itself as expected. You do not have to set it, even to begin with as long as it's placed where it connects.I really like that the remote sensor also displays the temperature and offers an occasionally blinking light to let you know it's working. I have another that is apparently dead but with no display I fiddled with it a lot before coming to that conclusion. With this unit you know right away that it's operating correctly. As with all these clocks, you always put the batteries in the remote first and then in the clock. On the back of the clock and the remote those directions are repeated. I have LaCrosse automatic clocks too, but the SkyScans please me more. This is partly because the clocks use different frequencies to transmit the outside temperature so both work independently. My two similar LaCrosse clocks both use the same frequency with no option to change it so there is conflict. At first both worked from one remote, now only one does and even when activating the second and placing it in a different location only one clock will show the outside temp. Both my similar SkyScans work great with their different remote sensors.I've never had any trouble with these atomic clocks getting a signal from home, but there can be problems sometimes if the clock is in the city with many tall buildings and all manner of satellites on their roofs. I tried one in my office building with no success. I've also never had a problem with the remote sensor communicating with the clock until the battery runs down. I understand that lithium batteries do better when placed outside so I use those. When the remote battery gives out you have to change both clock and remote to get them to connect again. The clock battery may be fine and just removing it and reinserting it may be good enough, but both have to be attended to together. This is not the most attractive clock for my decor, but its features are the best by far so I am very pleased with it.

Works Fine.
I have had this clock for over a month and its been doing just fine. Time settings were easy and locking to time server did not take very long. Some criticism is: For one, the black band around the frame/screen should have been narrower, it will give it much polished look. The clear plastic screen is not totally flat, it has certain waviness to it, which becomes quite apparent at certain angles of the light and gives out cheap look. 3rdly, the numbers too are not very clear at certain angles. Other than these few things, it is a great clock.

Great clock with some unique features
I have several different brand atomic clocks around my house and workshop, and I really like this one because the time digits are 3" tall verses 2" on my other clocks. I can see the time easily from quite a distance. Also the viewing angle is wider than most of my other clocks which is a plus.Works great and picked up the radio signal within 1 minute of battery install. That is impressive because the signal is very weak here in coastal California. The remote temperature sender has a small LCD temperature display, which is handy when I am outside and want to know the temperature. It also has a slick mounting clip that either allows wall mounting, or doubles as a stand to set on a flat surface.Temp readings are within 1 degree of my mercury temp gauge.RecommendedNote: remember to keep the outdoor temp sender out of the rain and sun. I placed mine under the eaves of the house.

SkyScan clock with temperature
This clock works great! It was easy to set up, I first put batteries in the remote sensor, and then in the clock, the clock picked up the remote reading immediately. And then, while I was reading the instructions on how to set the clock, it set itself, all I had to do was set my timezone with the switch on the back.According to the directions, the remote sensor doesn't like rain, so I put it in a ziplock bag before I put it outside. It's sitting in the branches of a thick evergreen tree, always in the shade, I hope the squirrels will leave it alone. It works great. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the clock display is a little too directional. If you try to view it at an angle it begins to fade out. I have an older SkyScan, without the temp feature, and this was never a problem. So I had to find a new place on the wall for it, where I could view it more directly.

TAKE THE BAD REVIEWS SERIOUSLY
I should have believed the lousy reviews. The only reason I am giving this 1 star is because the clock works really well and it looks nice. Otherwise I'd give it zero stars. From Day 1, the transmitter was unreliable. We tried various solutions. We live where it has been really warm/hot...high 90's/low 100's. The transmitter has never registered higher than 92. It goes down, but not up from 92, Our other thermometers all work, but would not fit in the spot where we placed this clock. I just ordered another transmitter. If the second one doesn't work, I'll contact Amazon in order to get rid of the whole thing. Our prior SkyScan was fantastic. After MANY years of use, the transmitter died. We couldn't replace it. It was so old manufacture of it stopped 3 years ago. This one, on the other hand, is worthless.

Don't buy this clock.
First off this clock looks pretty good, that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The temperature outside reads LL about 3/4 of the time and when it shows a temperature it is off by about ten degrees. I have tried about 5 different locations for the outside temperature sensor, keeping it out of direct sunlight and using all of the other recommendations from the users manual but this thing is always inaccurate. When set to the atomic clock setting the time will start to go ahead by about one minute a day causing it to read ten minutes fast in about a week. With the atomic clock setting turned off the clock will for no reason just jump ahead one hour about every two weeks. Keep looking if you want a good clock, I'm sure there are a lot better clocks for the money.
