NOW Foods Supplements, Gastro Comfort, plus Mastic Gum, Aloe Vera and Slippery Elm, 60 Veg Capsules

I have severe heartburn and indigestion and this atiff is amazing! There is no smell, the pills are capsules and easy to swallow. I can take one of these and not have to take another for a few days! Others I have tried that say are not safe for every day consumption dis not work as good as this! Its also vegan and ok to take every day. It does not upset my stomach at all and works fast for heartburn, stomach upset, and any indigestion. Great product for the cost too, its not expensive and lasts me for months.

I’d say 4.5 stars. It’s good but when taken too long for too many days in a row, it begins to hurt my stomach. But I love it when I get an IBS flare.

Short summary: The bottom line is - yes, this worked and is still working for my particular case, but don't pick out a supplement based on reviews. Make sure you have a real diagnosis first, especially if your symptoms have been chronic for a while. The Longer Story: Supplements are incredibly hard to buy. You have no idea if something is going to help with your health issue and so, you take the gamble based on reviews and price. I can say definitely that this product has helped me but it may not work for you. In my case, my symptoms prior were almost 10 years of slow, incremental GI distress including indigestion, heartburn, bloating, etc. I was unable to eat anything that was not a vegetable or (some) fruits without symptoms. I ultimately started getting an ulcer. As it turned out, I had h.pylori and didn't know it (Google the term if you are not familiar and it'll blow your mind). My GI doctor threw every treatment at me and when nothing work, he used the "big guns", including an anti-malaria medications. It was 7-10 days of hell with the medications, but I got through it and I no longer have this bacteria in my gut. I can now eat any carbohydrate I want and within reason, most processed foods without misery (though I still avoid them as much as possible). I started taking this product as a way of healing the damage done from years of symptoms and of course, the heavy duty antibiotics to cure the illness. The slippery elm and mastica gum together could alone suffice, but there are additional properties that make this a great way to assist with healing your GI tract. It's been a year and I'm still taking these. I'm almost afraid to come off of them, so I started weaning back to 1 pill a day and all is still well. Depending on your situation, I'd say give it at least a few weeks before you decide if it's working for you. Good luck!

This works great to calm the tummy and solidify bowel movements.

After taking this product as directed after a week, I went to the ER for major gastric pain. After a GI cocktail from the ER and discontinuing this product, my pains subsided. Not going to take this product ever again.

Incredible product. My digestive system feels so much better since taking it!! Started 3 weeks ago but the relief was pretty immediate.
