Phenomenal Quality, Incredible Value — Beyerdynamic’s Headphones Command Respect
Probably the Highest Quality Headphones You Can Get for the Price — PeriodI previously owned the DT 880s and used them daily, even while riding my bike in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, I accidentally pulled the cord too hard and broke it. Since switching to the DT 990 Pro 80 Ohm, I no longer wear headphones while biking—hahaha!Key Features:Superior Frequency Response: Raw, clear, and accurate sound perfect for referencing, mixing, and mastering.Impedance & Power: Works well with phones and laptops, but for best performance, use with an audio interface or amplifier.Comfort: Extremely comfortable for long sessions—even while sweating. Comparable to the DT 880 Pros.Open-Back Design: Great for general listening and studio work, but not recommended for vocal recording due to sound leakage that may bleed into microphones. Beginners should research this before purchasing.Sound Quality:The DT 990 Pro delivers incredibly accurate sound—more accurate than my Yamaha HS4 monitors! No artificial boosting, just pure and honest audio.Value & Build:Priced between $120–$200 (market dependent), you won’t find better quality at this price point unless Beyerdynamic releases something new.The cable is not detachable, which probably preserves audio quality, but a detachable cable might be convenient for some users.Final Thoughts:Beyerdynamic earned this review by making a phenomenal product. I don’t usually leave reviews because I prefer not to influence people’s choices unless asked, but these headphones blew me away. Beyerdynamic is a pro-consumer brand that delivers exceptional quality at a fair price. If you want top-tier headphones without breaking the bank, these are the gold standard.

From a gamers prospective.
I wanted to clear a few things up on these. Firstly I wanted to say that I got the 250 ohm version and I love them. People say a lot of good and bad. I got mine renewed and saved money so I couldn’t hesitate on the deal. If you’re just gonna get these and plug them into your Xbox or without an amp and you can’t afford one yet then buy something else or wait until you can afford it because a amp will make these come alive. The sounds are next level even on the lower settings. If you’re not all the way blasted up with your gain set to max and sniper mode on your amp they don’t really “leak” sound as bad as you would think. Once you do turn them up they are super load and will but I personally don’t see anyone being able to do that comfortably for hours on end it’s loud and any game doesn’t need to be that loud to hear a dang footstep. You can hear way more on the lower settings just fine trust me. These are the most comfort in a pair of headphones I’ve ever experienced. The open back is where it’s at. If you have all the money in the world then I would say get a pair with a detachable cable with a solid amp but you honestly don’t need all that for something to feel premium. Just be carful with them and they will last. I paired these with the sound blaster g5 the older cheaper model and they are just amazing. I will never and I mean never buy “gaming” headsets again. I use a blue yeti usb mic but there are other options out there if you need a mic for cheaper. I know there was a lot of “ninja” hype around these but they live up to it. He used them for a reason because they sound amazing. So in my option with the renewed model plus a cheap amp you can’t buy a better pair of headphones for around 200 dollars. I had the newest Corsair wireless gaming headphones and just wasn’t happy so I returned them and tried this. The best thing about amazon is if you’re not in love with what you got you can return it and buy something you will be happy with. Be true to your self with what you have and don’t be afraid to return something if you’re truly not happy with the product but I know you will love these as much as I do and plenty other do. Either this setup or something similar from a real audio company you can not go wrong. P.S. the amp I mentioned before works with Xbox, ps4 and pc. I’m gaming on pc just for reference. Do your research on what you’re buying. To wrap this up I just want to say these are worth the price though and through compared to gaming headphones. Thanks for reading this and I hope it helped you decide what works best for you.

Right for the price
These are my first over ear cans. I usually like to listen to music/Tv with speakers, but I use these when I need to keep the volume down and don't need to walk around. They are comfortable with soft cups, but I start to feel them after a few hours. The open back design is nice, less claustrophobic so to speak, but still with enough bass to be satisfying and the highs are crisp and clear. I won't be traveling with these so I don't need BT or worry about disturbing someone sitting next to me. I use a headphone amp and it makes a big difference in the sound. I bought these as refurbished and they look new and function like new. Overall, the price is right for what you get.

Most comfortable headphones I have owned....by a mile!
I have owned over 20 pairs through the years. These are also used in many studios because they also have and incredible sound stage. I can wear these for hours w/o my ears getting tired. I currently own 6 pairs of "professional" headphones. These are #2 to a set of ribbon driven phones that cost over twice as much as these.
