I bought this item because the car (2009 Ford Fiesta) had the fairly common fault of frequent false alarms that the boot lid was open. This item looks exactly like the original Ford part, except without the Ford markings. As with most jobs of this type, the difficult part is getting the interior trim panels off, without damaging the spring clips. Once this is done, replacing the part takes just a couple of minutes. Just remember - re-connect the electrical connector before you try and close the boot!

Brought for my Ford Fiesta 58 plate. Watched on YouTube how to remove the old one and install. Easy and worked fixed the issue with the boot saying it was open when it was closed.

I Changed the boot door mechanism for my ford fiesta 2009 1.4 petrol and fits perfectly. Happened 2 days ago when boot warning light came on all the time so after researching on google came across this product and job done in 5min.

As the original I even weighed it no difference from the one I removed which like most people was because of boot open indicator and blaring car alarm in the middle of the night!
