This 4.5 lbs bag was supposed to last a while, but let’s just say it didn’t make it through the weekend. 🍉The flavor? I’m an over the road truck driver, and I kept buying these at Loves at 2 packs for 5$, and I finally had to just get them in bulk so I wouldn’t bankrupt my family buying truck stop candy.This brand is even better than the one I was buying, and it fit right in the bag next to my driver’s seat.I was parked at a Loves one night, and I ended up being in one of the tornadoes that hit Michigan a couple months ago.(Trucker tip: if you cannot get to shelter, or cannot shelter in a low ditch outside etc., put a heavy jacket on and buckle yourself into your drivers seat. If your truck becomes compromised, the airbags will help protect you.)Tornadoes are my biggest fear ever, let alone as a driver, and during my scariest moments, buckled in and gripping the steering wheel in case I tipped over, occasionally I would grab a couple of these.It’s one of those funny things where you look back and wonder why you were doing such a ridiculous thing during a moment of panic, but I was grateful to have these little candies with me.I guess it’s a true testament to how good this candy is because I was holding on to my steering wheel for dear life, but I sacrificed potential safety for sweetness for these guys. Also, if my windows broke, I could probably just hold onto this 4 lb bag as an anchor so I wouldn’t get sucked out the window. The truck stop was out of power and I was too scared to get out of my truck after, so this became my dinner too, and it held me over for almost 12 hours until I found somewhere open to get food.

Sealed very well. These seem to be fresh as they are soft but not all stuck together. The flavor is very good, but not as vibrant as I had hoped.

I'd always remember to when I wasn't able to and then forget about it by the time I was. This time....THIS TIME - I remembered! And boy oh boy am I glad I did! Haven't been as excited to receive one of my Amazon packages as I was this for awhile!They taste exactly as I'd expect them to. Can definitely tell it's a "candy watermelon" taste. They're soft and chewy as expected and comparable to other similar candy I get from random stores. Some are a little "tougher" or "chewier" than others, but same can be said about other type I've bought from stores too. So it's definitely not a deal breaker and more/less expected.I will say that you should definitely have some sort of air tight container(s) ready to put them in once opened to make sure that they stay fresh. One would think this would be common sense and not need to be said...but after reading so many reviews before landing on this particular product, it does need to be said.
