Works well, if it’s accurate. Haven’t been to a public scale to weigh my trailer yet, but I got an appropriate tongue weight off the weight on the trailer label. I was impressed that not only is this a tongue weight scale, but it is a full time hitch also rated at 10K lbs. Keeping it on your vehicle at all times, gives you a full time tongue weight scale for every trailer and load you haul. No more guess work. Be sure to use an hitch lock pin, as everyone would like to have this. And its aluminum, not stainless steel, and very lightweight. I think the price was fair..

First off, when you open this box it looks like you got what you paid for, the hitch is a fairly large block of machined aluminum with a nice clear gauge on it... great first impression! I set mine up with a 2" Ball, had it torqued to 250 ft./lb. by the mechanic next door and put it to work the same day. At first, I thought it wasn't working since the gauge wasn't moving with the weight of my trailer or myself, so I gave customer service a call to see if mine was a dud or if that's normal. Well, they were very knowledgeable and assured me the trailer would likely not add a ton of tongue weight being only 800 lbs. and said to give them another call if it doesn't change when loaded up. Sure enough, as soon as I started loading the trailer up it started climbing. This hitch lets me get right up to the limit without going over and worrying! For a lower tongue weight car like my Pilot (350, 500 with WD hitch) this is the kind of assurance I need to feel confident towing and pushing the limits. Would absolutely recommend for anyone towing mega loads with a truck or just trying to make sure you don't exceed your unibody towing vehicles lower tongue weight rating!

I've used a CAT Scale to try to determine an accurate tongue weight but was not confident in the result as I just knew it was much heavier than it should have been. Turns out my gut was right. This mount showed the tongue weight right where I expected it should be. The scale is a little rough coming in at 100pound increments between lines on the gauge, but you don't have to be a genius to figure the weight within ten pounds which is more than sufficient. Although I won't be using this to tow, I can easily and confidently check my tongue weight before every trip .

This works good. Just not sure how accurate it is. Going to give it 4 stars for right now. Once I hit the scales and see how accurate it is I will update accordingly.

Purchased a new enclosed trailer to monitor tongue weight as we add some shelves and accessories before using. The hitch is very solid and the gauge on the hitch seems to move smoothly. When we start using the hitch seeing the tongue weight will help guide us on location of items. Looking forward to the improved load balancing using both visual load on hitch and the weight gauge.

I would recommend this hitch. Well built. The hitch tongue weight indicator is a wonderful and informative feature. I tested it on several of my trailers.

With the way travel trailers are being made today it is easy to take what the manufacture is say at face value, but I have found that this is not always the good way to go. This handy little tool has shown me that my truck is under rated for the trailer I am towing. I would recommend this Weigh Safe tongue scale for all who want to have the piece of mind knowing that they and exceeded the cargo caring capacity of their tow vehicle.

Seems to be accurate on pickup. Bought to use for car hauler on motorhome to ensure proper hitch weight, will be using soon

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. The gauge works just fine. Sure it’s a little hard to read because of its size and placement but that’s understandable and the quality of aluminum and casting is great. It’s nice and light to handle. No complaints here
