The Portrait Cutting Mat 2 Pack is intended for use with the Silhouette Portrait to hold materials in place when sending jobs to the Silhouette machine. not sticky
very light stick did not hold paper in

Doesn't hold vinyl well
I've used two of these now and by the second time I've used both of the them the vinyl would not stick well. It's great price is the value really worth it?

Yes, it is sticky..
As other reviewers have mentioned - yes, this is REALLY sticky. I use this primarily for adhesive, and sometimes heat transfer, vinyl. For me, this is fine - if some of the backing paper sticks to the adhesive, that's okay. However, I haven't tried this with paper crafting - and I am sure that for that application it would be disastrous. It would rip your project apart. So, 3 stars from me because it does work for my purposes, but its likely that it will ruin the materials of other's projects.

Too much STICK
WAYTOOSTICKYI use these for my eBay decal business. Once inwore out the sticky may I got from JoAnn fabrics I switched to these. I found they are just too sticky and actually rip/ tear the paper backing off my 651vinyl. I'm not sure what would need so much stickyness but it's not for 651 permanent vinyl.When you peel the vinyl off it make the vinyl curl up... Not ideal.I'll be looking for a different mat.I hope this was helpful!

Perfect
It works great! Try not to use this with anything thin or easily rip-able tho! I tested this with normal printer paper and it took a bit to take it off the mat. Totally my fault. But it's great!!
