The fasteners go on easy with my battery screwdriver and the blocking easily clips into place. I like this product enough I have purchased them a second time for a different part of the house and will be purchasing more soon. The product is all stainless steel so once it's up I don't have to worry about them breaking or deterioration like I would with plastic.We have these large birds from the woodpecker family. The back of our house is 3 stories high and these birds get up there and try to pound holes through the soffits to the attic. They can actually hang on to the top row of siding and sleep there all night. An ornithologist told us these birds like houses because the drumming (pounding) is much louder and helps them attract mates. The birds are still around (I can hear them out in the woods pecking on dead trees) just not trying to peck at our soffits.

So far no pigeons. We will see how effective these are after the entire summer. Last year my problem was late summer.

These were just want I wanted to keep squirrels off of the deck railing and therefore off of the bird feeders. I am very happy with them. They arrived earlier than expected.

Good initially, but birds still persist.
