A lifesaver! Saved me hundreds!
These are fantastic and I'm so glad I found out they existed. I recently painted my living room and my brown couch did not look good with the color and it had a stain that I couldn't get out. I needed a fix before Christmas (didn't want guests to view the ugliness), and I really didn't want to have to buy a new couch because mine isn't very old. My couch is a very large size and I couldn't find a slipcover that would fit it. I am also not a very good seamstress so I didn't know what to do. I came across a blog that recommended using these to keep slipcovers from slipping, and that gave me an idea. Instead of sewing my own slipcover or even buying one, I made one using a duvet cover and these pins. I had a duvet cover that was unused and stashed away in the linen closet. I took it apart at the seams using a seam ripper and then I tucked it into the couch wherever I needed it and used these pins to hold it in place. Anywhere it was loose, I fastened it with these. Because these are clear and somewhat small, you can barely see them, and even if you do see them, they look like little decorative buttons. My couch looked good enough that my brother thought I got a new one and my sister asked me how my slipcover looked so tight and good. As for function, the pins act as little screws. You stab them through the fabric and upholstery and twist them until they screw in flat. The come out by twisting them the opposite way. They are easy to insert and remove, and they hold up well. I have had numerous people sitting on my couch, including my five-year-old daughter who likes to squirm and throw herself around on the couch and these have stayed in place perfectly. The only downside is that I have to remove all of them to wash my slipcover, but that isn't anything against the pins but against myself for making a fake slipcover. They are totally worth it though. I bought a fifty pack for fewer than ten bucks which saved me what the cost of a new couch or a custom-made slip cover would be, which is what? Hundreds? Thousands? I am very happy with my purchase! I plan to buy more to slipcover a little chair of my daughter's that has become stained. If you want a slipcover or to cover any sort of bad upholstery and you don't know how to sew or don't want to take the time, this is your answer! Buy these and some fabric, a sheet, or anything else you can use and make your furniture look new.

Decent on softer fabrics.
They are decent but kind of flimsy. They are easy to push through super soft fabric or cushion, but not for anything with any weight. The plastic head is lightweight and not the sturdiest.

I love these twisty pins for the cover on my couch.
I love these upholstery pins. They secure the throw on my couch and the bedding to my mattress like nothing else ever has. You just press on the top where you want them to go to hold some fabric down and twist. Tata! In seconds, it's secured. Nothing else does this. My auntie has a throw over her rocker and one over the back of her recliner that were always slipping down until I showed her how great these work.

The spiral design helps them to stay in place
I love these upholstery tacks. They stay in place because of the spiral design.

My wife was using pins and staples (did not work) until I ordered these twist pins and they work great to hold the palstic strips on our furniture to stop the cat from scratching the material.
