I had wanted to try this brand for a long time and was not disappointed, the product is a fresh and delicious treat. I would have liked to order more for hostess gifts and stocking stuffers, but the seller places their stickers over the product label and they were impossible to remove without ripping the foil.

So my wife says this is THE BEST marzipan you can get. I think its very expensive for what you get with this brand and this 2.6oz bar was like $9 dollars. Ugh... There are other brands that do it just fine for far less money in my opinion. To each their own I guess. Just don't buy too many of these; you'll never get to retire. Ha!

The marzipan is hardly fit for consumption. The chocolate has a white sheen on and the marzipan inside is dark and dry. It lacks the normally excellent taste of Niederegger Marzipan. I am from Germany, I know what it is suppose to taste like. It is very close to expiring date (4 months). Selling this so close to expiration gives the brand of Niederegger a bad name they don't deserve.

Marzipan is one of my favorite desserts. Reminds me of time when I lived in Germany, I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys anise and excellent chocolate.

When I was young, this was always a treat from our favorite import delicatessen. Since that deli's no longer around, we've had to rely on mail order to get our favorite marzipan. It's stayed consistently good over the decades. It's unfortunate how the price has skyrocketed over the decades or I'd enjoy this marzipan treat a lot more often.

Das Marzipan-Schwarzbrot von Niederegger ist seit Ewigkeiten das Flaggschiff und Aushängeschild des Hauses aus Lübeck. Und man bekommt hier das meiste vom immer vortrefflichen Marzipan für sein Geld. Niederegger ist nun mal Niederegger und Qualität hat notwendigerweise ihren Preis. Der ist zwar bei Niederegger meist recht hoch, aber für das Gebotene durchaus angemessen. Denn hier wird nicht billiges Persipan oder nur wenig Mandeln und dafür viel Zucker und Feuchthaltemittel verarbeitet, sondern reichlich hochwertige echte Mandeln. Und das schmeckt man dann auch, wenn man denn seinen Geschmack nicht bereits mit minderwertigen Produkten, wie die vom Ferrero-Konzern oder Zentis, versaut hat. Sehr lecker und saftig! Ein Tip: Wen es einmal nach Norddeutschland verschlagen sollte und dort in's sehenswerte Lübeck oder nach Travemünde, sollte unbedingt dem jeweils dort ansässigen Niederegger Cafe einen Besuch abstatten und sich zu einem Kännchen des wirklich exzellenten Kaffees ein Stück Marzipantorte gönnen. Es ist die weltbeste, versprochen!

Great product from the oldest and best manufacturer of marzipan. So good I have to send a regular care package of a couple of bars to New Zealand where this product is unobtainable in the shops.

Ridiculous- sent a single bar- what a stupid scam

Als Kind hatte ich gerne marzipan gegessen... Keine Ahnung warum, aber 20 Jahre war ich absitent. Durch Zufall an die niederegger Sterne geraten und jetzt Kartoffeln als auch dieses Brot bestellt. Es wird meiner Figur nicht gut tun, aber ich bin schwer verliebt. Alles ein Traum und das Brot hier der Gipfel, Mischung aus marzipan und Schokolade ein Traum.... Das marzipan top und eben nicht billig mit Zucker aufgewertet (oder wie ich finde abgewertet) - leider in den Rezensionen negativ zu lesen.... Es ist einfach genial, frisch, restfeuchte und nicht künstlich süß.... Was soll ich sage? Ich will mehr und bin absoluter Fan!

The product description says 20 pack. I only received one bar. Fifty bucks for one small bar. Are you kidding me? I feel ripped off.
