Does exactly what it says

I spent a while searching for a PSU I was confident would suit, rather than explode, the backup hard drive. This one was rare mainly in that the images posted actually showed the necessary information (voltage, current capacity and polarity). None of the other such units carried that information in either the images or text. I've used it for a Maxtor 750GB unit and it works fine. It runs cooler than the original unit which, as tends to happen, turned up a week or two after I'd bought this - however, I still use this unit in preference.
