This is an excellent buy and highly recommended! Below I've included details of the install and results.I am using an A1496 MacBook Air 2017 (1.8ghz, 8gb) model which developed a battery fault after 332 charging cycles or approx 4 years. My old battery issue was it said 'Check Battery', would die on me under an hour, and randomly power off.I got this Next Day delivered despite some reviews which seemed to suggest this might not work (albeit they seemed vague as to why!). The box clearly notes the battery is compatible with A1377, A1405 and A1496 devices, meets CE regulations, is marked and stamped and clearly of OEM quality.Now, if you are unsure on what battery your MacBook needs or if this one will work you can check your model and all the specs using the EveryMac website (Google it) and you enter in whatever identifiers you have on your MacBook and it will list what battery type (along with just about everything else) you will need. Mine is A1496, so you simply check if this is compatible (and it is).I can confirm this item is correct and exceeds expectations as it has well over a standard Apple batteries max charge capacity of 7,600mAh, with nearly 8,200mAh on this unit! It fits perfectly, and came nearly 1/4 full already. It is suitable for both 7.4v and 7.6v charging states.I've included pictures using BatteryHealth on MacBook, and you can see the results after install. Correctly reset the charge count, shows this battery is only a few months out of factory, had 21% charge, and a very sizeable increased battery capacity. And no 'check battery' or power offs!Upon arrival, I've opened the box to find it as described, with the included toolset (pictured). Install was as simple as:1) switch off MacBook2) using the blue screwdriver undo all external silver screws (the two at the top near the vent holes are longer thread) and lay out on the box in order they came out for ease3) lift the aluminium shell off4) disconnect battery using tab top left (see pic)5) use the green screwdriver to remove the small black screws (top and middle set are longer thread, bottom two are less, 5 in total)6) lift old battery out7) place new battery in, reconnect battery tab8) replace screws, cover, and shell screws9) power on check10) place on charge until max full, allow another hour, then remove from charge and use until dead flat. This gets you max capacity.The battery has far exceeded my expectations and took under 20 minutes to install from start to end, provides me with 10% extra capacity more than I was expecting, cost 1/3rd of an Apple battery service, and has ensured my laptop has another 3-4 years ahead no worries. Being larger capacity, you effectively have got an extra 45mins charge for free every single time you charge. Put another way, that is a whole Netflix show extra more than you would have had from any £159 Apple service, and you get that every time. If that isn't enough to say this is a good buy and value for money, I don't know what is!To sum up, their box states 'meets or exceeds OEM quality' and 'affordable prices'. That is as accurate as I've ever seen from a seller and I agree with those statements. Well done, EGOWAY, well done. Don't even look at other sellers, this is the solution you need if you have an A1496, A1377 or A1405 MacBook.

My old battery had done over 3000 charging cycles and the macbook air would only operate for less than 30 minutes on battery. The replacement battery is not the cheapest on Amazon. Installation was easy after reviewing how to do it on you tube. I used my own micro screwdrivers rather than the ones supplied with the battery. Battery has now been in for a few months and performed 30 charging cycles without any problems. Battery operating life is several hours.

In theory this was a great replacement for the OEM battery. It was delivered quickly and relatively easy to install (my 16 yr old managed it too).Problem is that after 4 mths it started losing charge very quickly and now six months in, it goes from 100% to 0% in 30 minutes. I have emailed the company via their support page and waiting to hear that they intend to do.I'd avoid this product.

I have used this battery for 2 weeks now. It works well. However, there is one weird thing after I installed this battery. My laptop starts by itself (It was off) whenever I plug in the power adapter.For the battery life, I might need to come back to leave an updated review after 6 months since most of the people complained about the battery doesn't work after few months.

I'm getting on a bit these days and my eyes aren't as sharp as they once were and my hands are all fingers and thumbs. Even so, using the special screwdrivers they provide, I had the whole thing up and running in under half an hour. It brought my Macbook Air 2012 back and now can provide 5 hours of light usage again. It's still faster than many laptops out there, so totally worth the relatively low cost repair, and half the price of someone doing it for you!

Purchased apprehensively as my Mac Book Air battery wasn't lasting very long. Wasn't sure what aftermarket batteries would be like. However it was easy to install, fits perfectly and has so far restored the Mac back to it's original battery life.Very cost effective as well so very pleased.

Did not find much difference before and after replacing the battery.

Easy to install if you are that way inclined. Seems to be ok after a years worth of use. Cheap n worth it.
