Well worth the price!
J. Herbin (and Jacques Herbin) makes fantastic fountain pen inks and this one does not disappoint! The color on this one is incredible and the silver sparkles really stay in suspension for a long time. You do need to rock the bottle before filling your pen, and rock your pen a bit if it's been lying unused, but once that's done you're good to go, unlike some other shimmering inks where you need to continually agitate the pen. I tried a sample of this (bought elsewhere) before investing in the bottle. Yes, it's far more expensive than many inks, but wow, it's lovely. Get a sample first if you're not sure, but if you're a fan of blue and silver and some shading and sheen as well, I think you'll love this one.

Beautiful packaging
Perfect packaging and I’m really happy with the box / vendor did great! I’m new to the hobby and collecting inks and I like to keep the boxes so I appreciate when the boxes are well wrapped and these bottles are stunning- value is higher than some at 0.63 per mil. But I think I’ll love it. I’ll review the in later

Stunning as always!
J. Herbin never disappoints! By far my favorite inks to use! Deep, rich colors and a sophisticated sparkle. I find them to flow smoothly and consistently, regardless of pen or nib. I will say, a broad or 'music' or bent nib are my favorites with this ink, since it allows for more of the metallic flecks to flow onto the page. Paper type and writing style will obviously have an effect on how "glittery" the end result is. As has been noted with other reviews, and not necessarily a bad thing, Cornaline d'Egypte is on the more subtle side. Still beautiful and well worth the price, in my opinion, just less flashy. The anniversary collections are the epitome of what great ink is!

Great color and sheen
Amazon made it a bit hard to take a good picture, but the ink is sheening like crazy. I used tomoe river paper of course, I don't think I'd waste this nice ink on any other paper. But it is beautiful, like the night sky. The packaging was a bit worrisome, but it got to me in 1 piece, so I can't complain much about that. Fantastic ink. I put it in my TWSBI Eco since those things are just great with murderous inks.

For those that want light browns or sepia tones with shimmer.
I can just play with the bottle as I love the color so much. Performs best in wet larger nibs, clearly not a shocker. These Herbin inks Ive been a fan of and I dont care to use shimmer inks for the maintenance diligence you should use. When you write with it I almost always want an ink splotch to show how great this ink is. I have not used it on a variety of paper types. Regular paper, postit, Maruman and Kokuyo currently are the notebooks in use.

Clear solid ink
This ink does not bleed or leak through the paper it is written on. The ink is true to the color that is shown and does not bleed

Shake that stuff up before you use it...
Wonderful ochre color, very smooth to write with out of several different-style nibs. Make sure you shake the bottle up - the sparklies settle to the bottom and need a shake to distribute well.

To quote another review of mine of a J. Herbin ink, "[i]n earnest, I must admit I have always been a bit disappointed by J. Herbin. They have lovely little bottles with the seal on the front and so on, and especially, what they have is the price tag, which makes you think, "Well, this has got to be good." But ultimately, the ink is just okay. Well, this is the odd time out where a five out of five is for it. The colour of this orange ink is not only novel and so, so often not seen in many inks, but it has such a vibrancy and a richness on the page that I just can't help but want to write more and more for the sake of writing more. It's a beautiful ink. I would buy it if I get the chance again, and I think you should too.

Medium Blue. Medium Shimmer. Colour is okayish. Can get some getting used to.
