I have an 2012 Audi A6. I bought this cable expressly for the purpose of playing music from a USB flash drive. It fits well, and it works perfectly for what I want. It also displays the album artwork.I also tried to play some videos: AVI files at 720x480 played fine, but the MP4 videos I have (encoded with x264) do not play.Note: I have not tried to hook up any phones or MP3 players.
