I have owned the Afinia 3d H Series printer for about 3 weeks now, but I have owned another printer and have been 3d printing for 1 year now. I felt like I was taking a chance on this one with only a few reviews about it. However, this printer has exceeded my expectations as being very user friendly, and the software that it prints from can attempt to fix your files or highlights them before you attempt to print which can save you a lot of money in wasted filament if your file wasn't created correctly or needs fixing for 3d printing.If you take the time to watch the videos on youtube or afinia's website, you shouldn't have much trouble with this printer. I created and successfully printed my own files on it in a matter of days after setting it up. One tip, a youtube contributor informed me that the perforated print boards that it comes with can warp over time, so he suggested a piece of 5.5"x5.5" sheet of glass to use instead. Overall very pleased with the printer and all the added accessories (gloves, hobby knives, tweezers, etc.).

Awesome!It just prints. It is true, but...If you ever heard of the expression:"Garbage in - garbage out" it applies to 3d printing very well. You want to know how to use a 3d design/cad software program to take full advantage of this technology. And you will use up a spool or two of plastic to learn what the limitations of the technology and your particular printer.I only give it 4 stars because the price dropped 200 less than a month after I bought it.Go buy it now it is a great printer but just know that you will need to become a 3d printer "operator".Cheers!

Terrible product as ssemby video was lack luster and missing an update and the buttons didn't work half the time and after 2 prints it started smoking. One fan stopped functioning properly.

I'm a new user of 3D printers, but i read 'MAKE' Magazin article about 3D printers, so i bought the Afinia printer. Once i took the printer out of the box, in just 30 minutes was printing. Excellent product, excellent documentation in video, but the documentation in paper has some bugs and the explanation is not very clear.The calibration is to easy and the printer is not noisy, hardly be hear when printing

"Excellent!!! I have made successful test prints and they are good! I used the same "torture test" which made Afinia win the MAKE magazine competition and they all turned out nicely. My owl has a nice clean hole in its beak. The Arc printing test was perfect . I will be enjoying my ownership of this machine - Its the future."P.s: The packing is excellent. It survived all luggage handling and an international flight without a scratch.
