Love SonicWALL's almost as much as ASA firewalls
This with the latest firmware is so easy to setup and configure. Just plug into the LAN port, follow the wizard for a good base config. Then adjust the the networking and firewall settings to your specific scenario. Once you understand SonicWALL's, they're very solid and reliable. I had two out of six defective and Dell overnight-ed new ones without much pain. Customer service was AWESOME, the customer service sold me on these firewalls.

Did not Function
Was purchased to replace an older Sonicwall that the new owners (Dell) decided they would no longer support. So I tried to switch them out. The Dell Sonicwall was not compatible with the former version and would not even allow one to get into the setup program even after repeated resets.Returned it and will go with an alternate proven firewall.

Ended up not using the Wireless
I wouldn't not purchase this as a wireless router unless you know what you are doing. This is a higher end firewall product that is not easily configured. For example, by default any wireless clients are not able to connect to computers on the LAN (I think this may be to help with PIC certification for people who process credit cards.)Searching the internet I was able to get the wireless and LAN communicating, but they end up on separate subnets. When I did get it up and running between the wireless and LAN, I had high latency times (350ms or more) which may be due to packet inspection. A standard consumer router was more suited to my purposes. If I were setting this up in a company environment I would probably pay ($200?? or so) to have a sonicwall tech person set it up for me (you actually purchase this setup service).

One of my favorite firewalls. Security is decent
One of my favorite firewalls. Security is decent. You will not get Xbox to show open NAT and this does not support DNS proxy, but other than that, they are good. VLANs are supported a few revisions ago. Not hard to set up, but do not buy if you are not network savvy. Not a standard homeowner accessible type product.

excellent router
Very intelligent. Manages multiple items automatically. Great for businesses in need of firewall and antivirus protection. The packet inspection and many others are great to have. Remote access is nice and you can view complete web history of everything. Also allows you to see where data is being used in case of certain computers having issues. Too much to list.

The device worked fine once we paid our computer tech $100 to install it properly. We could not do it ourselves and when we called the sonicwall tech's they kept blaming our internet provider and could not help us. Our tech explained the problem was not with the provider and the sonicwall help line maybe wasn't knowledgeable enough.
