My go to assembly lube. Perfect for bearings and cam installs.

Never had a Lucas item the did not work great. This is a must for a re-build. Easier than spinning the oil pump to push oil thru before a start.

This stuff sticks well and stays put in the bearings after application. I could see how the stringiness would get on someone's nerves if they didn't realize that stringiness is exactly what is needed for a good assembly oil. This is the first time I've used a purpose-built assembly oil in the last 40 years of building engines as a hobby (I'm on number 7 now) and I'm glad I did. Before, I'd mix some 30 weight with STP, but that never stuck and held firm as much as this stuff does. Also, having this nice, twist-close container is a definite plus. I've likely got enough with this one bottle to last until long after I'm gone.

This is the critically necessary ingredient in an engine rebuild. I wish I had had it when I began overhauling engines almost 60 years ago. It is distinctly liquid, not even thixotropic, but it is tenacious in staying put in a journal bearing or on the cylinder walls. It prevents the dreaded "dry start" of firing up an engine for the first time following an overhaul; just the words "dry start" give me the willies as I think of a consequent spun bearing or scored cylinder walls.

Using on a LS rebuild, its sticky compared to regular oil so stays on parts better. Good if not starting for a while after rebuild. Use on crank and rod bearings
