Good Knife
I'm very pleased with the Richardson sheffield knife It's very sharp and easy to keep sharp with a standard knife sharpener, the carbon stainless steel blade is good quality and makes chopping onions and veg very easy, the knife is a little light in weight which would make it ideal for someone if they suffered arthritis in the hands.Overall the quality is good and would recommend for the price. Please click on the “Yes” button below if this review has been helpful thank you.

Very Good knife advertised incorrectly
I'm new to chopping with knives that cut instead of squash and was looking for a decent quality Santoku but lowish end price wise. This fits the bill. It's not a deal breaker but it's HRC rating is 55 and not 58 as advertised on Amazon. Advertising Inaccuracies are just annoying. Had I known it's possible I would have paid more for a knife with a harder blade as that suits how a Santoku knife is used. It's balance is slightly handle heavy but not uncomfortably so.Overall I'm happy with it as it's certainly a step up from anything I've used before. Also, it is VERY sharp out of the box so I'll have to improve my technique to keep hold of all my digits!

5 star for its quality to cost ratio
Really nice.I particularly like the hardness of it. After you sharpen it, you won't have to do the sharpening again in a short time unless you use it as a chopping knife. But don't complain if you never sharpen a knife. Even if you buy a £1000 knife, you are expected to sharpen it regularly to maintain its high performance. As some mentioned, the balance of the knife is actually not excellent.Still a 5 star for its high quality to cost ratio.

Surprisingly versatile
Great quality knife, surprisingly useful - chopping potatoes is much easier as the cubes release much more readily from the blade. Used generally for family dinners where chopping veg features quite heavily (no fancy chef style prepping). As it's new it's also super sharp so great for chicken etc where I use the front part of the knife more. I find it more versatile that the long french cook's knife that we have which is too long and cumbersome.

Great value without compromise
As a chef, I wanted to buy my son a good quality everyday knife. This is great value for money but without compromising quality. On a side noteYou will need to sign for delivery yourself as it’s a knife and potentially dangerous. So you cannot leave with neighbors or a safe place.

What a amazing knife. I could shave with it but would not recommend it. It cuts thru veg meat like a hot knife thru butter I used it straight from the packaging it went thru a cauliflour root like paper AWSOME going to get a set. And I'm not a pro chef just home cooking do not under estimate the sharpness and quality of this knife.
