Incredible as a mixing base, blah on it’s own
Nestle has hit a home run with this Chef Mate Que Bueno Jalapeno Cheese sauce when used as a mixing base. My favorite local restaurant uses this exact product , but they mix in something like Rotel . On its own it’s very bland and off tasting , but when mixed it really shines. I tried mixing 60% que bueno with 40% Rotel hot, added a dash of white vinegar and 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt to a total 16 ounce cheese / Rotel mix and lookout it’s unbelievably good. Note the ingredient panel, everything in bold can be used as a mixing suggestion, it’s secret code for restaurants. Anyway , there are other people out there who know the mixing secrets but aren’t sharing for some reason and Nestle is tight lipped too. I can barely eat this product on its own, but once mixed right it’s really delicious.

Great cheese
Grea tasting cheese not to spicy or jalapeno tasting I highly recommend 😃

Not good
Worst nacho cheese sauce I've ever bought. No taste, no jalapeno flavor all. It's pretty runny, or more spongy. It's obviously bad enough, I took the time to write a review to warn you. Lol It's what I would expect if I had bought it from a dollar tree.

A little bland, but can be doctored!
Excellent value for money. The sauce is a little bland, but very versatile. Added a 20oz jar of Rotel that helped. Could have added half a block of Velveeta and that would have been perfect. I would DEF buy again. Excellent value for large starter. Heated in a crock pot on high for an hour before serving a taco bar for 60 teens/young adults. They ate every bit of it! Recommend it for sure as a good volume-base.

Not the same as Ortega/Nestle version.
This is OK at best. It wasn’t the taste I was used to. I was looking for Ortega “Que Bueno!” Nacho Cheese. This is not it. Ortega variation is much thicker and has more flavor. I saw the Chef-Mate label, but same “Que Bueno!” Name. I thought they would be the same but they are not. I immediately noticed a difference in taste and consistency. If you want more flavor, maybe more of a kick, try Ortega brand(maybe made by Nestle). If you want a very mild cheese, say for children, maybe this will be better.

So yummy!
My preferred nacho cheese sauce was discontinued and our stock ran out We tried this and the white cheddar sauce. They were both yummy individually, but when we mixed them together everyone devoured our nachos! We have purchased more of both to freeze-dry to keep in our storage in case this gets discontinued. As my son said, 10/10 would buy again (and have)!
