I run a mobile veterinary service and needed a better container for our rabies tags. I have used plastic containers that were not compact enough to carry or too small for the sizes of tags that change from year to year. The plastic latches would break off after time also. This pouch is an ideal alternative. I was impressed with the durability and pleased with the size. The zipper is very hardy and convenient.

I am an inside journeyman wireman (electrician) and prefer to buy professional/ premium tools, etc., for my work. I needed to replace a worn-out pouch for impact driver bits, drill bits, etc., and decided to try a Rough Enough canvas pencil case. The pouch is well made. The materials seem to be durable and of good quality. The interior lining makes it easier to find small items. Unfortunately, one of the plastic teeth in the zipper fell out soon after I put the pouch into service. I contacted Rough Enough and they sent me a new pouch at no cost (they paid shipping and told me to keep the defective unit). After nearly four years, I have had no problems with the replacement nor with a second pouch I purchased shortly thereafter.

Product shipped quickly and the seller makes contact post shipping for customer service, which is a nice touch. I didn't realize until recently that this company Rough Enough sells a bunch of variety of pouches, etc. I bought this looking to organize some pens and other little things in my every day work pack set up and it suits my needs. However! I chose to buy this one because of the dark black canvas that fits into my low pro setup, but the color itself is much lighter (or faded) compared to the advertised picture. The pouch itself is a good size about 9" x 4" X 3.75" wide --- but it doesn't keep in one shape so it packs well. it can be pretty flat and wide or stuffed it will be tall and wide. I wanted more of a rough and tumble kind of canvas and this is more soft cotton feeling, but it suits my needs well while giving a bit of a vintage faded appearance, so I gave it 4 stars for functionality and build quality. I mean yeah I wanted solid jet black, but really it's pencil pouch and it works, so who cares. Would recommend. And would also recommend you look at their other little organizer pouches and zip bags.

I did buy this as a pencil case, but to keep a tiny tool set for the office in. Contents in picture below.The case is a perfect size. You can put a lot in it for such a small size.The stitching is good and had no loose threads. The material is thick but pliable and the nylon lining isn’t the super thin cheap stuff.The zipper is chunky albeit plastic. I’m old school and like metal zippers. I do understand that is would be quite overkill for this case and more expensive too.Two extra things I really like.1. It has a name badge inside to brand it as yours2. It comes with swag. Two Rough Enough stickers.Overall a good pencil case and a good case for anything of that size. Would highly recommend.I waxed the canvas and it really helps stiffen it up. Turns a good pencil pouch into a heavy duty one.

I think a review carries the most weight when it is written 5 years later. I've had my first Rough Enough pencil case for 5 years and it is as perfect now as the day I bought it.... So when I needed a bigger pencil case (this one), I knew I could count on Rough Enough for another quality pencil case.

I like the product. It seems rugged. Time will really be the only factor in that. I don't plan on using it in a rugged way. But I feel like this would last a good time out in the world if one carried it around. Maybe a couple years in a rough terrain use like a factory or weather environment. Maybe a lifetime if just used inside to store things. I can't remember the price but I felt like it was cheap enough to try but reasonable enough not to think it was cheaply made. And it seems pretty well made. Will be keeping some nice pens and pencils inside it.

The outer and inner materials feels very sturdy and not cheaply made. The only thing that would be awesome is if they would have included a swivel clip which is very convenient for artists. If you are worried on how much that thing can fit, I can tell you that it can fit 5 regular sharpies, 4 pens, 3 mechanical pencils, a white-out pen, a clic eraser, and two erasers with room to spare... Or if you are feeling very adventurous, this baby can hold a capacity to an 8.4 OZ can of Red Bull, 5 pens, and 2 erasers. Would buy againBottom line: Buy the Pencil Case!!!

I bought this to keep some tools together which I carry about in the leg pocket of my work trousers. Does the job and I'm happy with quality.
