Very Informative For Beginning Witches!
This book is a must-read for beginning witches! I am just barely getting into the hobby of witchcraft and this book has been a great starting point for me because there is so much information on the internet that can be overwhelming. So I looked up for some books for beginning witches and this one did not disappoint! I can't put it down! It starts off with the history of witchcraft, what it is and the widely believed myths that surround this practice! It goes into the different types of witchcraft such as paganism, wicca (wiccan) and Witchcraft in general. We learn about the Salem Witch Trials, different festivals and sabbats, spells, misconceptions and we talk about the different kinds of witches such as herbal, kitchen, eclectic, etc. This book has made the witchcraft practice much clearer to me, it also talks about anyone practicing not having to change their religion or religious beliefs. Whether you believe in God, gods and goddesses, or other beings or no one at all, witchcraft can be practiced by anyone and it's not all about scary sacrifices and blood rituals like media makes it out to be! It does, however, outline dangers between joining a community that isn't a cult and informs you of red flags and things to stay away from as well and I appreciated that! It's a very interesting read for anyone with an open mind and who is curious but also for people who are serious and want to learn more! A very well structured book with informative information and resources to help you continue on your wandering journey of life and spirituality! I would recommend this book 10/10!

Baby witches READ FIRST!
Amazing book for baby witches. I had this book in my cart for months and wish I would have read it first. I have book after book after book for beginner witches this is by far my favorite. Packed with tons of information without making you feel stupid or overloading you. breaks things down to give you a better understanding, and the overview of everything she touches on from correspondences to holidays are easy to understand while being informative. so when you begin researching for yourself you have a general understanding. Also covering important people to research further into and why they are important. This is something that is stated time and time again and I love it, it’s something every baby witch should know, it’s one of the main things I have been repeatedly told, that yes over everything else you must trust your gut and do what feels right to you!

Best book I’ve read so far for beginners!
Wow! All I can say is that I’m sad and ashamed I did not purchase this book earlier. I’ve been procrastinating on buying it for several months now and let’s just say that after receiving it yesterday and finishing it within 24 hours has left me very satisfied with the info in its pages. I’ve read both positive and negative reviews on here and I think the negative reviews are what hindered me on buying it months ago. But really, at least for me I didn’t have any negative thoughts on it. I do understand everyone is different with how they approach, understand, and practice witchcraft, therefore I believe this may be why some have had negative reviews on it. But all I can say is that if you are open minded, accepting to learning, then this book is for you! As small as it is, (about 190 pages) it is chock full of information. Hope you purchase it and like it as much as I have. I will order more to give out as gifts for those in my family and circle of friends who would like to understand what a witch really is and why I’ve chosen to be one.

An Empowering and Evolved Introduction to Modern Witchcraft
Tonya Brown’s “The Door to Witchcraft” is a refreshing addition to the literary witch world. In this offering to the community, Brown not only presents a door into the world of modern witchcraft, but also provides readers with the key for unlocking the mysteries to their magical journey. This is done by serving an authentic and compassionate approach that is as magical as it is practical. In the first half of the book, Brown presents the fundamentals of witchcraft to the reader by highlighting the history, beliefs, and practices of the craft. This can generally come off as bland and dry, however Brown’s personal insights and flavor create an evolved examination at today’s witch. There are also several quotes from pop culture icons and references to media witches that project reliability for readers. In the second half, she shares a number of tried and true spells for the reader to blend into their personal practices. What I love most about it is the non-dogmatic approach to the magical community. It does not promote a “one right and only way” of practicing. Nor does it attempt to cast out anyone. One of my favorite quotes from the book is “whether you are a badass woman who oozes solar energy or a gorgeous man who drips lunar, you are a powerful, strong witch.”Overall, “The Door to Witchcraft” is an empowering and evolved introduction to witchcraft that any and all seekers (regardless of their experience level) can benefit from reading. Highly recommended!

Excellent Overview of Witchcraft; Easy to Understand yet in depth
What I liked most about this book was it's simple approach. The background and core beliefs are included, and as a historian, I so much appreciate that. It's not history-heavy, though, so don't be thrown off by it. It's just enough that if you want to go off and do more fun research of your own, you most certainly can. It doesn't get bogged down by history but there's just a taste. I also liked how, in chapter 1, the rise of acceptance of witchcraft means that witchcraft became a safer space and a vehicle of empowerment for women in particular. I never thought of that viewpoint and I appreciate that. The book has a wonderful Part II on spells, which comes after a primer on how to tap into your powers and set a safe way to move forward. I would HIGHLY recommend this book as a primer to ANYONE, young, old, male or female, wanting to explore!
