Wholesome Sweeteners Organic Molasses, 5 gal, Single Unit

I've been using this molasses for a couple years, and until my last order, it's been very thick (like molasses is and should be), and the only problems I've had is leaking during shipping, which is EASILY correctable by securing the cap w/ packaging tape...simple solution, but only a couple sellers seem to understand this.My last order was the most THIN, WATERY molasses I've ever seen/used, and I've used molasses every day for over 10 years. If I jiggle the bottle a little, it "sloshes" around like water...I'm disgusted and VERY DISAPPOINTED! It makes me wonder if they're adding water to INCREASE PROFITS,I'm not sure if I'll take a chance on this brand again.

A pack of 3 was shipped to me and when they arrived, they were all cracked open with 1/4 or more of the liquid spilled all over the plastic bag. The bottles themselves are made of cheap plastic, which is a health hazard, whether or not they contain BPA (as molasses is typically poured into containers hot). The other reviews here could very well be honest in their appraisal of its taste, but as far as I'm concerned, that's irrelevant. Read the other negative reviews as they are far more accurate. This company is apparently based out of Sugar Land, which is a suburb of Houston -- by far one of the most overcrowded and polluted metropolitan areas in the state of Texas. The product couldn't possibly be clean let alone safe for human consumption. You can do better than this. Please look elsewhere.

Great molasses, but the packaging is awful. None of the bottles had the lids on even finger tight. Two of them had lids with inch size broken pieces missing and they weren't in the the package, so they we not damaged in shipping. The safety seals were all damaged with molasses leaking out of the package and into the box. This happened on two different shipments. Bottle seems to be of good quality.Update 1/11/2018 Just wow! This is such a great product...organic, healthy, full of minerals, and awesome taste. I was leery of purchasing again, because of the poor packaging with these items. This time each bottle was adorned its own bubble wrap and arrived completely protected and intact. Now this is indeed a perfect purchase.

I use molasses to combat menstrual cramps. Ever since I had a copper IUD put in my cramps became unbearable. I had tried soo many things to help but always ended up curled up around a hot pad barely able to function. I searched and searched the internet for tips but all I could find was the standard adviceL take ibuprofen before they start and exercise and don't drink caffeine and so on. None of which helped me. Then, after watching a hair tutorial on YouTube I saw a recommended video about menstrual cramps. In it the girl said she takes one tablespoon of black strap molasses a day and her cramps have gotten better and her period is shorter and lighter. So I figured I had nothing to lose and tried it. I've been taking a tablespoon every day for over a year now and they just keep getting better and better and better. It isn't an instant cure. You have to take it every day, even when you're not on your period, to get the most benefit. But each month it just keeps improving. The first month I did it helped, but it was still pretty intense. The second month was less intense. And so on and so on! I've tried different brands and they all help. But this brand seemed to help the most. You can take it mixed in with stuff if the taste and texture bug you. But I just drink a tablespoon straight every morning after breakfast. It's a miracle cure!

I was buying the smaller bottle of this in the grocery store, and was so glad to see the 3-pack larger bottles at such a great price. I am taking a tablespoon (right from the spoon) 3x's/day for persistent iron deficiency anemia. I like molasses and the taste is really good. Too early to know if it is helping my anemia, but I have noticed that I am not craving any sweets at all, and I have had more energy throughout the day. Fingers crossed it is helping my iron levels! One tablespoon of this molasses packs 15% of the RDA for iron, so just from my 3 TBS, I am getting 45% of my needed iron intake. I am also taking supplements and eating a lot of iron rich foods to hopefully finally be done with it.As far as flavor, if you like the taste of molasses, this products is smooth, rich and malty. It tastes good as a marinade for salmon, chicken or ribs, is great in homemade baked beans, or added to smoothies, or added to your favorite beverage. I even drizzled it over frozen bananas I run through the blank of my juicer, to make a frozen dessert like ice cream without dairy or sugar. Top with raw walnuts and it is really tasty!I'm not sure what else to report about it, but will revisit this when I have my next labs drawn.

I ordered these three 32 ounce bottles of Wholesome molasses because I already knew I liked the product and because it was the best value. Molasses has a long shelf life even after being opened. I am baking bread every week and using molasses in the recipe, so I knew I would get the most out of this product. It is a bit amusing to open my pantry door and see one small shelf dedicated to molasses, but I probably won't need to by molasses for a few years.

Controls my menstrual cramps and pains. I used to have Biblical period pains but taking this after breakfast two days before my period and then everyday during my period, definitley is a life saver. I can not recommend this enough. I started taking this with milk, now a year later I can just take it straight from a spoon and not mixing it at all. It is an aquired taste but you can get there. Remember this contains iron so you CAN NOT take this on an empty stomach. You must eat then take it,if not then you will feel sick.

The molasses is a very good product. The only problem is that the lids on the bottles are a brittle plastic. There was no padding in the shipping container, so five of the six bottles had the bottle caps broken. Three of the bottles also had the safety seal under the cap break open and leak molasses inside the shipping bag and box. Better bottle caps or proper padding would have made the rating into a five star rating.

Superior product, taste great & works very well for organic cannabis 🌱! Very happy, customer for life. Appreciate fair trade products.

Found the lids on 2 out of the 3 leaked slowly, which was a bit messy. Not sure if it was caused during shipping or just if they are stored upside down or something, but 2 of the 3 had leaked through the seal when we got them, which was quite a mess to clean this off the bottles. Overall though, the value on this 3 pack is great and in general love the product.

Helps bring up the iron levels. I've been struggling with anemia because of hookworms. Cleanses haven't been able to eradicate the hookworms, so I needed something to help my energy levels. This seems to help. I use a liquid iron now that works better since I couldn't really stand the taste of the molasses after a while. But I use it once in a while in cookies or beans and it adds a really nice flavor.

Love this stuff. If you grow organic plants this is must have for your soil.

Ordered and received 2 just last week. First time purchaser looking for a new product.Was disappointed to find BOTH seals were open, either tampered with or made with poor quality.Unfortunately wont be ordering more, there's no return policy either so be careful!
