Product came USED
Product works, but came clearly used. There is scuffing all over the body of the pottery wheel and was not packaged properly. The dial was shoved into the side of the styrofoam instead of there being a proper place for the dial to fit.

Died within a month and came damaged :(
Stopped working after a month. It’s light by the switch flickers off and it’s screeching and not turning like the motor died and I’ve been very careful and completely gentle with it. It also arrived with a scrape on the turntable and was wedged into the styrofoam with no cut out for the switch. Don’t get this one. I’m sad because this the wheel I first started learning on and that’s a loss of $60 - the severe price drop should tell you something.

Love love LOVE!
I love this miniature pottery wheel! It runs smoothly and quietly, and has a variable rotation speed, allowing you to adjust it on the fly. It does slow down a bit with increased pressure, but I find that useful rather than hampering. You can use pressure to adjust the speed, rather than having to rely on the knob. But it's not extremely pressure sensitive, so providing you use a gentle enough touch, you won't have any issues with it slowing down or stopping. It has a very small surface area, so it's only suitable for miniatures, but that's exactly what I wanted. The wheel doesn't have any wobble to it, it spins smoothly at any speed.Full disclosure: I haven't managed to make an actual pot yet, mostly because I was testing the wheel using some clay that I'd made myself. I hadn't strained the clay with a fine enough mesh, so it wasn't suitable for using on a wheel, and little bits of the clay kept flying off as I was trying to center it. But that's purely user error, and has no bearing whatsoever on the quality of the machine. I've since purchased some air-dry clay, and when I finally get around to playing with it again, I'll try to update this review with photos of my creations. It can get a little messy. Aside from the bits of clay flying off (again, my fault, not the fault of the wheel), there was a little splattering. This can be easily mitigated by covering your work surface with a cloth, and possibly using the wheel inside a shallow tub to act as a splash-guard. But given its small footprint, the splatter is minimal, and the machine itself is easily cleaned using a damp cloth. It runs using electricity, and while the cord isn't super long, I was able to plug it into a wall outlet and use it in bed, so it's long enough for my needs. There's also a USB attachment, so you can plug it into a small battery pack if you need more portability. The prices on these wheels vary considerably. I purchased mine for $16, which I think is quite a deal, given the high quality of the craftsmanship of the wheel and the variable speed option. I personally wouldn't pay more than $25 for one, so if you're interested in purchasing one, I'd wait for a good price. Also, mine didn't come with any tools, so you may want to purchase one that includes tools, or buy some separately. Tools are a must for pottery of this size, you simply won't be able to do as much using your fingers alone. If you search "plastic clay tools" on Amazon, you'll find many options for quite reasonable prices.Overall I'm thrilled with my new wheel, and looking forward to creating miniature pots, bowls, vases, and anything else I can dream up. What fun!
