These mats are the greatest thing ever for entries or kitchen use. I have about 5 of them now. I clean them by hanging them over a 4 ft ladder and pressure washing. They come out good as new. They shed the water very quickly after washing. I bought all mine from warehouse deals and saved a bunch of money. The 2 red ones I got match my front and rear brick porches very well. Inside I have a blue on by the kitchen sink that really save a mess. I use a green one where the dog goes down 3 steps onto vinyl flooring to stop her slipping. Just ordered another one for kitchen use as the dog will no longer go into the kitchen for fear of slipping. Most of mine are 5 ft by 3 ft but I started out with the smaller ones. A number of friends now have them and they all love them. You have to try some. You will not be disappointed.

These rugs seem to be of the highest quality. Got these for the kitchen.The surface is very comfortable to stand on with shoes, but seemed a little uncomfortable initially standing shoe-less. I was surprised that after a few days my shoe-less feet got used to the highly textured surface.Yes the deep contours are a little more difficult to clean with a broom, but just line up with the grove the particle is in and give it a good flick to get it off the carpet. Nothing too it. This type of rug can be taken outside and hosed off, or if really dirty, wash it with a car brush first. Four stars because of the offensive chemical smell for two weeks.Be sure to pick a color you really like. I have other rugs like this (carpet on rubber back) that have lasted 20 years plus.

Excellent quality mat and it looks quite attractive at my kitchen door entry. I prefer the fabric border to the black rubber border for inside the home as it looks less industrial to me. You will notice this mat at MANY business entrances if you pay attention.I should have bought this LONG ago because the five foot length it gives us plenty of room to get inside and wipe/remove muddy wet shoes instead of struggling on a standard size mat. This mat is placed on a white tile kitchen floor. It looks nice and not industrial as I worried.There is significantly less tracking in of dirt and it is great at removing moisture on shoes. If a visitor comes in and they do not take off their shoes or boots there will still be some tracking and wet footprints...so it's not 100% effective for that but still a huge improvement. I have everyone trained to remove wet shoes or boots at the door so let your inner bossiness flow and tell them to leave shoes until they dry.I have noticed greatly reduced amounts of dirt and sand in the house when I vacuum since the mats are there. I also bought a smaller matching mat for my other entrance which is a door from the attached garage to inside. This door also has a pet door in it. My Bichon and fat cat use it to get to the fenced in yard. I noticed the cat tends to walk around the edges as much as possible (can't explain cats so whatever). The dog bounds over it oblivious as usual. I put an old bath carpet on the other side of the pet door to try and absorb something before theycome in. It definitely helps ME not to track in dirt and sand from the garage. I am in New England and after the past winter there is still sand everywhere!This is a high quality mat that looks like it will last forever. It was worth it for me to spend extra for the design as they are inside the house. Do remember to consider the fabric edge vs the black rubber edge for indoor placement. Worth every penny, I wish I had bought them years ago.

PROS - Lays very flat and stays put. In my opinion, very attractive when clean.CONS - Difficult to keep clean, particularly if you are dealing with pine needles, which we do. They get trapped in the grooves and simply pushing a vacuum cleaner over the mat will not remove them. You have to use a crevice tool and do each individual row.Additionally, if you put salt out on your driveway in the winter and track it in, the salt tends to leave a white-ish residue which I have not yet found a way to remove. Probably cleaning by hand using a toothbrush, which doesn't seem very appealing.

Just a small thing, but these rugs are a life saver if you are OCD and live with someone who plays in the mud for a living. The rug stays put on our tiled mud room floors and definately catches all of the crude that is tracked in from the outside world. Others who reviewed this rug have complained that it's difficult to clean. I think the problem is that the rug has a "pile" that scrapes crap off the shoe soles and it drops in the little grooves between the pile. What I have noticed is that you just have to move the vacuum a little slower to allow for the suction to clean not only the pile, but the groves as well. I am very pleased with this purchase; the runner seems to be sturdy and made of high quality materials and the "Southern Pine" color is a really pretty green.

I purchased these in an attempt to lessen the amount of dirt and yuck that my pups brought in the house after playtime. I am so pleased as they have significantly cut down the dirt tracked through my house! I have a Lab and a mixed medium sized dog and they use a doggy door - a lot of back and forth from inside to outside. I would recommend purchasing these mats. I have the 5' and 3' mats - to cover the area in need. Now, at the time of this review (1/2/20), I have only had them for maybe a month and a half...but they are sturdy, look good and are doing exactly as I had hoped they'd do! They seem like they will last quite awhile.

I purchased a mat to place in our garage just before entering the house. Did this as a "test" to see how it would hold up. If it sucked, oh well...it was in the garage anyway. If it was great, we would buy more for inside the house. It did work well that we purchased 2 for immediately inside the house from the garage door. It's a heavily trafficked area where we keep our shoes and wet boots (from WI winters). I was tired of old rugs not absorbing the wet snow...leaving pools of water under the rug or on the floor tile. These work great at keep the mess on the rug. We ended up purchasing our 4th one for the back door to the deck. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a hard working, durable mat, then this is the one for you! This is a heavy duty product (think commercial grade) which is clearly designed to hold up to major wear and tear. Between the mat's significant weight and it's rubber backing it (thankfully) stays put- no shifting or sliding on my tile floors. The fabric (had a slight rubbery smell out of the box, that dissipated within a day) is dense and feels kinda scratchy- not terribly comfy under bare or sock clad feet, but great for 'wiping' your shoes and boots on. The mat's diamond pattern consists of deep grooves which not only help to make it look a bit less utilitarian, IMHO, but also do an excellent job of trapping dirt and debris. I have noticed there has been far less grit on the floor in my entryway since I put this mat down. So far, I have only needed to vaccum the mat to clean it, but once winter comes I will probably hose it down once in a while to remove any salt, etc.

Sturdy and heavy duty. Thick with deep grooves to catch dirt and moisture. It has a super strong rubber backing to hold it in place and protect the floor from any moisture trapped above. Looks nice too.

This is the best entrance rug I have ever owned! The snow and debris melt into the grooves leaving the top dry. Less dirt is getting into the rest of the house and it dries really quickly.
