My Car: 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan.I have the audio head that says BMW professional. This is the low-end systems. 6 speakers and 2 subs. No tweeters up by the side mirrors Obviously you cannot stream music from your phone via Bluetooth in a 2011 328i xDrive sedan., but you can use your phone.This has bummed me out for a while. I have looked into what I needed to do to get where i needed to be with my music and streaming.As you may know, The 328i 2011 sedan has both the Aux in and USB connectors right next to each other in the center console.I decided to try the Firefly chat connection.This item gets power from the USB port to drive the Bluetooth transmitter, The other connection goes into the aux in port of the car.Now I have my phone streaming to the car audio. I can command my phone for GPS, Google Assistant and so forth.The output of the device feeding the Aux port has a high level. My sound system is louder than with the radio, USB MP3s and or the CD player. The subs really sing now.Here is the big surprise...So while my phone is connected to the Fire Fly chat via Bluetooth, It is also connected to the car phone systems. So all of the audio from the phone is coming in but, The calls come through the BMW Bluetooth system as well. The phone stops the music while the car takes the call. This is really cool. I was concerned the call would go through the phone microphone but since it is through the car, the car microphone keeps the call quality to the same level as before when I did not have the Fire Fly Chat. I also can use the answer and hangup keys on the steering wheel. Totally worth the $40.00.

HOLY CLARITY! My previous bluetooth 5.0 receiver died (actually, I thought it did, but got it to recharge after all) ... so I ordered this, considering myself a bit of an audiophile to see if there was a noticeable difference. It arrived today, and I needed to hit the road tonight, so I ripped open the packaging and put it in. I didn't bother with the firmware upgrade (still undecided if I will or not). I connected quickly and easily the first time and it reconnected after that. The design is simple. Everything you need is included. I didn't bother to crack the manual. But, here's the thing, the SOUND. WOW WOW WOW! The clarity and articulation makes me feel like I just got an expensive upgrade. If you have $40, get one. If you don't, sell something you don't need ... then get one.p.s. It is December in New Hampshire ... I didn't have any issue with it being cold. We'll see what happens when I go out to my car and it is 20f tomorrow morning. If there are issues, I'll update the review.EDIT 12/8: It was below freezing this morning (25f) yet the product worked perfectly -- not sure what these people claiming it doesn't work in the cold are all about. No worries.

I had to revise my review.After my review below, this company contacted me and asked to help. They issued a full refund even if it’s outside the refund period. They indicated that they have a better product now.I will try again there product. There first device was perfect for what I wanted for, and if they improved the longevity of the product I don’t think I can find a better value for my money. The last couple of weeks it shows it connected but no sounds comes out from my speakers, I have to keep connecting abd disconnecting the Bluetooth until it starts working. perfect for my older 2007 car, I have an six port and the cig lighter is next to it so just get a cigarette adapter w/ usb ports plug this in to the adapter then into ur car and plug the aux wherever they do include a longer extension cord which is nice but I didn’t need it personally. After that it’s pretty much plug and play just need to connect to ur phone and ur chilling but if u want the extra stuff download the app it’s pretty good my regular aux from the port to my phone has static noise this eliminates all of that and it’s very surprising with the ground loop technology. Song quality is awesome sounds like my old car I had which had great speakers so that says a lot to me.Call quality is great BUT THE ONE FLAW, nitpick if you will is that u have to pause ur music then call someone it doesn’t register correctly if ur playing a song someone starts calling and u answer it you won’t hear them u have to pause the music then answer the call. It is what it is it’s not a huge deal but if it could auto pause and have no problems it would be perfect for me. Otherwise honestly it’s the best car thing ever!

Well I ordered the Firefly before I looked into the app and the app told me that my phone is not compatible cuz I believe it has to have an Android 13 mines at 11.So I was kind of skeptical about it actually working on the first go since I've read one review that said he got to work but no Bass. And I am a 53-year-old a bassshead.And I couldn't believe how good it actually sounded and everything worked the way it's supposed to. And I recently just changed my sub out, and didn't tweak the amp to the speaker yet. But I put the Firefly in, and the results were very very good. I would recommend this to anybody that wants Crystal clear sound and good bass. For the price you just can't beat it. I love it
