Jolly Phonics Student Book 1: In Print Letters (American English Edition)

As a Kindergarten teacher, I have used this book in my classroom. Now, I am retired and use it to tutor a Kindergarten boy during the Covid 19 compromised school proceedings. This workbook introduces all the sounds you will use while speaking the English language. It incorporates the 3 learning styles: visual, auditory, and tactile. If your child needs a different method of learning the sounds, this might be the method that will help.

Great for teaching letter identification, letter sounds, and handwriting. I’ve had great success with it!

This is a great phonics program. I have homeschooled my 3 kids and have seen many literacy programs and products. This has been one of my favorites.

My 4 year old loves this book to practice her handwriting and also for the familiar characters. If your child is used to jolly phonics, this is great for practice

The jolly phonics system was listed as additional supplements to the Cambridge program so I bought this along with workbooks 1-7. My 4 year old likes the jolly phonics app/songs that go with it and even comes home from school and picks up the book and does a few pages of his own volition. However I don't think you need both this and the workbooks- this is in color, while the workbooks are black and white. They have a few extra activities, but you can really go with just one or the other.

I am using this book to homeschool my son. I really like this set. The lessons are short and he is really picking up on the sounds. I tried the teach your child to read 100 lessons, he was frustrated and enjoys this reading program more

Super useful at the senior kindergarten level to early grade one for introduction letter sounds and blending letter sounds. There are so many great and easy to find resources online that go along with it.

My students love having a colourful workbook to reinforce their learning in this program. They can use markers to color the pictures as the paper is of good quality.
