DEWALT 65 Qt Roto Molded Cooler, Heavy Duty Ice Chest for Camping, Sports & Outdoor Activities

This cooler certainly ranks up with Rtic and Yeti in regards to quality and efficiency of keeps elements cool and preventing ice from melting. With this being said, lets be honest...I have tested both Yeti and Rtic coolers and have never found ice to last the full 5 days they market to everyone, but still can hold close to that amount of time which is way better than the old coolers where one was lucky enough to have ice last one day. This DeWalt cooler is no different and found ice to last about 4 full days (on par with the other brands). The durability is equal to these brands and at almost half the price it's clearly the better choice. In regards to weight....have a friend. This thing completely loaded with food, beverages, and ice is a beast to carry and no man/woman can carry it very far by themselves. If DeWalt can make an attachment of wheels that would be a tremendous add-on for them (as long as it's at the right price).

My guy loves this cooler. He uses it for a lunch box every day, and told me he was the envy of his co-workers. They were impressed his gf gave it to him for Christmas. However, I am impressed with its durability, which we discovered last night, when, after a few beers, he turned into a real tool and said mean, horrible things to me. As he took off on his bike, I threw the cooler over the fence as hard as I could. It landed on the concrete driveway, and I left it there, thinking either I had ruined it or it would be gone in the morning. I was fine either way. This morning, however, not only was the cooler still there, but after bouncing across the concrete forcefully, it had suffered only a scratch on the handle (photo). A sign? Perhaps. The owner of said cooler was contrite in light of day. The cooler, at least, can withstand anything. The gifter, not so much. Hopefully the cooler will not outlast the man.

You can take this thing anywhere… from backyard barbecues, campgrounds, sporting events, and even the toughest job-sites imaginable. It ensures top notch temperature optimization, ice retention, and it even has a built in BOTTLE OPENER. Let me tell you something else… I was at our community Hopscotch Championship (15th Anniversary) and needed a stool (bleachers were being used by the local crocheting club) – this cooler could even withstand the weight of a full-grown man! Anyway, if you’re looking for a cooler that keeps your food and/or beverages cold.. look no further. It has a solid roto-molded structure and is dependable in any weather. 10/10 would highly recommend

Well constructed! Cam latches are neat. Easily holds eight 12 oz cans upright and enough blue ice to keep it real cold all day, if not longer??? By my measurements, it can hold 10.2 quarts of water without reaching the lid. Inside dimensions length*width are 11*6.5 near the bottom and 11.65*7 at the top and a depth of 8.22 inches. Outside length*width is 17.1 (handle) * 11 inches. What the heck do they mean by "chamber" dimensions? I agree the weight is exactly 7.95 pounds. The handle is a bit of overkill. A bit heavy for a 6-pack cooler but OK - that's what I expect from this kind of cooler. I like things that says DeWALT on them.

Don't waste your money on this cooler. The seal on the lid is inconsistent. Even in the shade, the ice lasted good on some days and not so good on others. Within just over a year of using the cooler under normal conditions and care both latches seperated and broke loose from the rubber straps that are used to keep the lid closed. The latches broke within two weeks of each other. Now I have a useless box with the name DeWalt on it. All it is good for now is the recycle bin. DON'T BUY THIS COOLER. FOR WHAT I PAID IT SHOULD HAVE LASTED MUCH LONGER.

Great size, easy too pack in truck and take out on jobs. It's federal safety yellow, easy to see for most people. We took it out of the truck to use as a prop. We had to lay a hinged base fibreglass pole down that goes into center of the street, very light traffic. We had just erected the pole and were just about to go get our ice chest out of the street when a guy in a truck ran over it. I yelled at him to stop and back up, it survived. He saw he never saw it, he must have been color blind. Federal safety yellow is bright.

Got hundreds of dewalt tools and batteries. Bought the dewalt cooler. Latch broke 1st use. Then the other latch broke 3rd use. I emailed them 15 times to no response or someone from another department will contact you. Haven’t heard nothing. Been loyal. They can’t be loyal. Milwaukee is looking good. More expensive but they stand behind thier product. Unlike dewalt. As many tools I got and have had in 25 years. They should be giving me free stuff. But can’t even return a call or email. Good cooler but why I want something that’s broke and broke on 1st use.

Overall, I absolutely love this cooler (10qt). It has come with me on week long camping trips, social events, and long road trips, keeping food cold up to 4 days. Knowing how to properly pack this cooler is the key to ice longevity (pre chilling the cooler, pre-freezing all meats, and packing all food and ice like a tight tetris puzzle. The size of this thing makesit super convenient for everyday use. After 2 years of use a latch did break, though dewalt was quick to ship me 2 free replacements (great costomer service). Highly recommend this super little cooler.

Keeps ice for days Heavy duty You'd probably need two people to carry it when it's full I have the biggest one and the smallest one love them both The worst part is when the latches are open, they still catch so you need to grab both latches to open the lid
