Bucky40 Blinks No Pressure Eye Mask for Travel & Sleep

Great sleep mask
I’ve been using this brand of sleep mask for years. It’s lightweight and comfortable. It doesn’t sit heavily against your face. It definitely blocks light. That said, over time I do have to adjust the Velcro to make it tight enough. The only negative is that you can’t machine wash it or it will fall apart. Still my favorite of the masks I’ve tried.

Best in the business
The media could not be loaded. I have tried 10-15 brands, and I keepComing back to Bucky. Not the softest or fluffiest, so if you are using it with lavender oil to ease panic attacks, it may not be number one. However, for sleeping, it’s the best. Blackout effect is phenomenal. I take naps in my car when the sun is beating down, and I get pure black. Weight is just right. Heavy enough to be substantial, but breathable enough for hot temperatures. The contour and ergonomics are where it really shines. Fits giant heads like mine as well as little bitty heads. Creeds a little suction like effect around the eyes. You can feel it on you, but it is so well made that the feeling is pleasant. Also fits nicely over a CPAP. Velcro is standard hook and loop, lasts a long time, and the elastic bands adjust easily. I could go on and on, but it’s bedtime. Bucky Bedtime. BBT. 100/100.

Comfortable sleeping for a first time eye mask user
Very comfortable to wear while sleeping. It really blocks out light to get another 30-60 minutes of shuteye when you need it.

Enough clearance to let me open my eyes. Bothersome strap.
What I like:I can have my eyes open and my eyelashes aren't rubbing against the inside of the mask. For me it's important to open my eyes and see darkness. I think that triggers my brain to release melatonin or say "time to sleep".What I don't like:The strap is stiff and rubs annoyingly on the top of my ears.It isn't easy for me to get the strap "just right". The velcro makes it hard for me to make little micro adjustments in the strap tension. I have an older mask (currently unavailable) from Amazon "mingtong" or "coolingtech" that uses a lightweight buckle tension adjuster. The strap on that one is much softer, easier to adjust and less obtrusive. On the other hand that older mask sits too close to my face and rubs against my eyes when I open them. Ugh.Overall:I'm using the 40 Blinks instead of the old one because of the clearance in front of my eyes. Consider this a "mostly positive" reviewUPDATE - JUNE 2024After 1 year it's started to fall apart. See pics. The soft inner liner is detaching from the foam. I'll have to figure how how to glue it back together and not bother me.Rating going down.

Comfortable and no light
These are very comfortable and can easily be adjusted for the best fit without the pressure of elastic. No light comes in around the sides and I can sleep without early morning light waking me. Highly recommend.

Moves around, even if I lie on my back
I slept in my new sleep mask last night, and there was plenty of room for my eyelashes, so I was very excited about this. I even wore a headband under it to keep my head warm, it’s winter, and thought that would help keep it more stable. I sleep on my back all night, but somehow the sleep mask ended up with the bottom edge of it pressing on my eyelash clusters, which I had just applied a few days ago. So, my right eyelashes got pretty much totally destroyed, and were totally flattened out when I woke up. They had been pushed up against my upper eyelid, and this straightened them out with no curl anymore! I couldn’t believe it moved around so much, with sleeping on my back! So, I don’t know if I’ll try wearing it again or not, but I think because it is so lightweight without much cushioning, It just doesn’t stay put. This is the second type of sleep mask that allows for eyelashes that I have tried, and neither one has worked for me. I guess I’ll have to shell out the big bucks and try to get a more luxurious one, or just go without! I have slept in the flat, satiny sleep masks for many years, and I just love the feel of it on my face and it helps me go to sleep.

Very Effective and Lightweight But Larger Than Anticipated
It is a very lightweight eye mask and definitely blocks out light regardless of the color (I chose navy blue). However it is quite wide for me as a woman [and I don't have a small head either] so I have to tighten up the straps (which are Velcro so this is not a problem). I do like that there is absolutely NO WEIGHT or anything resting on my eyelids though because I have dry eye syndrome and most eye pillows press down on my lids and become uncomfortable after awhile. Hey, if you are a man or have a large head - GET THESE! My husband loves it!

15 years and counting with brand loyalty to Bucky blinks
These masks are the very best. I’ve tried them all over the past decade or so, they don’t hurt your eyes, they don’t scratch, never given me a rash, long lasting, and they block the light around my nose. I live and die by these masks.

Ok for sleeping when not rubbing my nose
I like that this sleep mask has enough space that it does not touch my eyes, however it does rub the side of my nose which can be a bit uncomfortable. It also lets in a lot of light. Have to play with it to get the right fit for you. Was way too expense for what I received.
