This toy when bought new from the Cuddle Barn Store would be such a Cute and Delightful toy for a child. The voice and head and mouth movements are in tune. The voice recording is the Cutest! While it shares five different Storybook Tales. Hansel & Gretel; Jack-n-The Beanstalk; Rapunzel; The Ugly Duckling and Sleeping Beauty. The recordings have music and wonderful sounds added, also, a question is asked after each story cited. Its adorable, but, I prefer Duncan: The Dragon; I feel he is made with a brighter color with has more detail! Everyone has their own preference. There are other characters to choose from; like a cat that would sing in the royal court, during the renaissance era. Octavius is a cute Wizard Owl. Please buy from a reputable seller. I had to return Octavius because he looked pretty worn as an over-handled display toy, that many persons tried. Also, he was sent in a flimsy plastic bag; not a sturdy shipment box. His beak & face was pretty smushed in. The recording was alright condition & very cute! So make sure the seller is dependable, for a high-standard gift for a child.

This is an absolutely adorable little owl. Great buy for the price. Unfortunately, my 2 year old granddaughter is seriously afraid of him. She was sweetly curious and interested when I first turned him on. Then she decided she wanted to turn him off. Being 2 she wasn't sure how to do it. I don't know if it's the eyes or just the fact this owl is going "Toy story " out in the open. It then turned into crying and her saying "Put him up, he's gonna hurt you." Needless to say, he's back in the plastic bag he came in. I'm hoping after a few months maybe she'll be ok with him. I absolutely love him and his sweet voice. Just be prepared for whatever your outcome maybe. It's sometimes hard to figure out these sweet babies and what they're thinking and possibly afraid of.

Every child needs one of these. You be sure to include an extra package of AA batteries.

Perfect.. Not only entertaining for the babies but entertaining for the babies brothers and sisters too! Everyone loves it and they all gather to hear the stories. They sit and listen for hours. Perfect - big hit! Teddy Ruxpin was to expensive. I had to find something as close to the old Teddy Ruxpin as possible. I was very pleased with this. His voice is like a small child and loud enough to hear his story telling. He speaks soothingly and strong. It is awesome to have for bedtime. That's what Teddy Ruxpin was for with my own children when they were young. I have been looking for years. Try it.. you won't be disappointed. It comes wrapped up in a clear plastic bag like plastic wrap but I found a box for it. It came quickly as well. Thank you Amazon.

Bummed it’s so loud. Kids like it but it hurts our ears and isn’t a good bedtime toy given how loud it is
