These bay leaves are so much fresher and add so much more flavor than others ones I have used in the past. I usually just buy bay leaves in the spice section at the grocery store. But I realized it’s a lot more expensive than buying in bulk so I’ve started shopping for more of my spices on Amazon. These two bags were cheaper than a 3 oz bag at my local store! And I got 6oz. So I honestly wasn’t expecting superb quality. But these are awesome! They are so fragrant something I have never experienced with bay leaves from the grocery store and now I can actually taste the difference when I add bay leaves to a recipe. Before I always wondered why I added an herb I could never tell if I tasted. I can finally taste it!

I bought these to put in cupboards and prepper containers to discourage bugs.They smell do fresh,and what a good buy they were. Not too broken,but will gladly cook with them as well.Thankyou!

Bought these for pest control in our pantry, used for this purpose several years and they work. This is a huge bag of bay leaves and smell very fresh. recommend yes.

As others have observed, the quality on these is so-so. They are absolutely not the thick, spotless, evenly-formed bay leaves you get in the McCormick jar. They are also not nearly as expensive as those carefully pre-selected leaves. I, too, was a victim of a decent quantity of broken leaves, but I believe the fault probably rested more on Amazon's behalf than the packager. My bags were roughly stuffed into a bubble envelope and likely mishandled by delivery staff as well. If I could opt out of Amazon Logistics deliveries I suspect I'd have a lot fewer complaints in general.All gripes aside, the flavor is excellent. Very strong, clean, and fresh. I find I can't protest too much about the visual appearance of something that is added for flavor and then discarded. Where I might use two or three of the visually-appealing-but-overall-insipid Spice Islands leaves, I only use one of these. I have also been finding uses for the broken pieces to add a little bit of flavor to smaller quantities of food, so I have ended up throwing only very few away.

I am often reluctant to buy spices—or any foods—from Amazon. What if they're old? These ended up being amazing. I have never had such fragrant bay leaves. They are a pleasure to use. There were so many (3 quart jars, I think, once I repackaged them) that I ended up being able to share with my mom. Highly recommended.

This is by far the best laurel I ever bought. The smell is amazing. I love to put some leaves around the house for good vibes and clean smell. Ill will continue to buy this for ever

Smells really good, not all broken down. Great value.Updating my review: I cooked with it and this is probably the best bay leaves I ever used. Aroma is wonderful.I usually buy from WF or MOM and this one is so superior.
