Speck Products SeeThru Satin Case for MacBook Air 11-Inch, Walnut (SPK-A2238)

This case is a great “at home” case. Which is partially why I got it. I didn’t want anything to happen while I was using my MacBook Air at home, so I wanted a nice, cute, thin all the time case. I also wanted a reliable brand (like Speck). If you plan on using this case to protect your MacBook Air outside of your home, you will probably feel the need to have this case and a padded sleeve. It is just so thin that if you are not carrying the MacBook Air in it’s own laptop bag with padding; the case will not be enough. Also please note that the color (I have blue) is not quite as bright as pictured.Pro’s:--Nice Color--Fits well (you have to click it into place, make sure you wipe it clean first!)--Apple logo still shines through--really, really thin--adds some amount of protectionCon’s:--Thin case with no padding, if you drop your MBA it may not offer that much protection--Price--You will probably need another case on top of this one, especially if you are always on the go

I just purchased the case today and put it on immediately. It feels so soft to the touch but it is not soft, the colour is amazing!!! The silver of the aluminium still comes through the case and it gives it an iridescent look to it. I think it looks really classy. The soft feel, makes it easier to hold on to and it is less likely to slide off your hands.I hope it lasts longer than other reviewers indicate because it looks so great and fits so snug, I just have to remember to take it off now and then to clean out any dust to prevent the scratching.Thanks Speck

After WEEKS of research (on my old laptop, because I've been afraid to touch my new one without protection, lol) I opted for this Speck. I've only had it a few days, but it's beautiful! The color is spot on (yet prettier somehow?), it was so easy to put on and I feel safer using my new computer now :)It adds very, very little bulk, and though I can't make any claim to its protective benefits, at least I know I'm safe from scratches, dings, etc.I think I read about cracking/splitting when opening up the laptop, but I haven't experienced that at all.I'm THRILLED and highly recommend this for pretty, lightweight protection.

Better than the one I had before that was bought from ebay. This one has good quality and color! I don't have any fingerprints problem like the other users complained. I always have dry hands, so no problem with that. But one time, a guy who has oily hands grab my mac, and it did leave several fingerprints. Just wipe them out, nothing really matter.

After 2weeks update: start cracking from middle, chipped on corners, absolutely trash.👎

Well it isn't exactly the color I wanted. I wanted a baby blue , and this is like a teal color. Other than that its great.

I got my case today and it was not suppose to come until Jan.8. I had no trouble at all with the fitting the mic is not covered or anything. The reviews made me nervous at first but I am glad I gave it a try.

Horrible quality. I've had my case for less than 6 months, and the case already has multiple cracks. Recently, a small piece has just fallen off.At the time when I bought this item, the price was roughly $75.00 CAD, so you can see why I am very disappointed with the lack in quality.I would definitely not recommend this item to anyone I know.

Next time I will get gel cover for keyboard too. Colour matches the laptop pouch really well.

Nice case

I had ordered this item on Aug 13 and received it on Aug 17 so I was surprised (and glad) that it came do quickly. It fits really well but the top of the case where you open your laptop; is loose sometimes. Other than that it is a really good case!Another thing i noticed was that the case is only good for scratches and stuff. I expected it to be really thick and heavy duty style since the speck case for my brothers 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina Display felt thick and more protective. This case is a little more bendy but its good since it won't break due to its non-rigidness.I thought the colour was a bit off but after a day I saw that it looked pretty much like the picture :)This is my first Macbook Air case.
