I've had some really bad luck lately with buying wash line rope from major retailers. It's almost like people forgot how to make wash line or maybe a CEO got a good bonus and asked someone in China to supply wash line and they didn't know what it was... But I went through two wash lines from major retailer brands that just slipped through the tensioners and just kept stretching. Granted I have about a 70 foot line, But I've never had such a difficult time finding something that wasn't a piece of garbage in the last 30 years. This rope seems thick enough. It doesn't pull through the tensioner after the first load. It didn't really stretch that much. Seems to have an accurate cotton casing and a strong core.

This rope is excellent for making rope bowls or similar projects. The outer layer is braided cotton with a stranded synthetic core. You can easily and safely sew through the rope on a sewing machine. This rope is just under 1/4 inch in diameter. It is just stiff enough to hold a shape and yet be easy to work with.

After putting this line up as a clothesline, it keeps stretching more than other rope I have used at the same price point. At some point, the stretching should stop, but it hasn't. This makes me question how long this clothesline will last and makes me question the advertised weight load capacity on the packaging.
