My wife is known for her inability to check if she left the hair straighteners on when we leave the house. So many times have we had to turn around after half an hour of driving just to check if they're off. Well no more! We can now go on our Alexa app wherever we are and make sure they are off for peace of mind. I used the other plug to switch the living room light off because we are very lazy people when it comes to getting up after getting comfortable on the sofa.Pros:- Easy to set up, just plug in and set up via the app (works as a switched plug without any setup)- Remotely see what your plug is doing. (If it was a toggle like some lights, you have no idea what state it is in)- Rated to the full 13A of the plug, some are only rated to 10A which means they can be easily overloaded.- Not bad for a present, box is quite nice and product looks professionalCons:- Uses only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (not normally an issue for normal house holds, but I had to switch 2.4GHz on as I was only using 5GHz before)- Blue light is a bit annoying on the side, but a bit of tape fixes thatI would recommend this product to anyone looking at monitoring a plug or someone who is just really lazy. I think even my Nan could have set this up (with her glasses on mind you), so its great even if you aren't tech savvy.

Really useful device, it allows you to control any gadget you want. The installation process is really simple, you just take it from the box and connect it to the socket and that's it. After that you just download the app from the apple store or play store. The configuration on the app is easy. You just tap on the add button and select electrical outlet, then you just had to add the wifi password and you're ready to use it. I use it to charge my devices as it give you the option to schedule actions to it. This help me to have my phone and iPad at 100% when I wake up without letting them charging the whole night.I recommend this to any one as it can be used to almost anything. And it will give you control over that gadget at all times plus you don't need to be at home, you just open the app and turn on/off the device you want. It's impressive...!

I have 1 Echo and 3 dots in my house and am always looking for new smart plugs and reasons not to get up and turn something on myself. For this one I wanted it for the kettle so I can shout to Alexa to put the kettle on in a morning as I dash out the door to take the dogs for a quick walk before I need to get to work. Having to get up and out early most mornings it was becoming a bit of a drama to get a cuppa before running out the door. Now that the kettle is boiled for when I get home it's one less stress.It was very easy to set up. I had read the reviews beforehand so I was prepared that it may be difficult but it was much easier than I'd expected.I also liked the size of this smart plug. It's a lot smaller than others I gave.

These smart plugs are fantastic. They are really simple to set up with the instructions included, they take you through the process step by step. I downloaded the Smart Life app, set up the wifi connection and registered each smart plug to a new device. I have one connected to the slow cooker, coffee machine, and lights in each of our bedrooms. I love being able to set the timers on the devices and scheduling them to come on at set times, I wake up to my coffee ready in the mornings and can ensure that the slow cooker is on ready for when we get home from work. I am looking forward to saving some money on our energy bills now, you can even monitor the usage of each socket. I use Google assistant as we do not have an Alexa device…yet...and it works great. I will definitely be ordering more of these, I highly recommend them.

Works great for Google homes, I use these to turn on and off lights around the house using just my voice. The work perfectly as expected and with minimal latency. 😀

Good cheap Wifi plug. Does what it says on the tin.However, some of the smart plugs I previously bought that use the smart life app has a tendency to randomly disconnect. One even refused to re-connect and thus I had to return it.So far this has not done that.It is easy to set up. Also, you don't need to keep the smart plug app after you have set up the device. It connects to Google Assistant, Alexa, and IFTT, though I had not tried it out with the latter two. Although it connects to WiFi, it does not support the 5 GHz band; it only supports the 2.4 GHz band, which admittedly is the band with the longest range. However, it would be nice to support both bands.

I bought this set to replace a number of smart sockets I've been using for a couple of years (those early ones are difficult to modify and connect to). Initially I struggled to get these connected via my BT Smart Hub 5 even though I'd disabled the 5GHz WiFi and changed security to WPA-Auto.In the end I restarted the BT Hub and put these smart sockets into the same double outlet that my router is plugged into, that did the trick and enabled me to get the sockets to connect - word of advice, when you're waiting the percentage count up whilst trying to connect, keep an eye on the very small text at the bottom for check marks to appear.Once I had the sockets connected to the app, I could move them around the house to where I wanted to use them.Cons - tricky to connect to (when using a BT hub)Pros - easy to manage, create schedules and manage remotely.
