Organizing Knowledge

needed to buy this book for class. the material is very dense, and i sometimes tell the authors to speak in English. i would not buy it if it was not for my class

I am not one to return to the assigned reading two or three times, but I am taking an "intro to cataloging" class and I find myself paging through this book every day. It will save your life.

This book was required reading for a class. It is an excellent resource and I plan to keep it for reference in my own home library. I'm sure I will return to it many times during the course of grad school.

I didn't notice in time, but this used edition was missing the index (an important, if not ironic, feature for a book about access to information to be missing). By the time the class had started, I no longer could get a refund. If you're buying used textbooks, you should really take a look before the class starts!

This was a required textbook for a LIS class. It's poorly written, doesn't use an oxford comma, and has outdated information.
