Hardware Is Effective, But Software Stopped Working
After nearly a year of use, including many brief power disruptions and three lengthy blackouts, the Tripp Lite AVR900U has proven itself an effective piece of hardware. For example, six months ago a windstorm blew down a tree that, in turn, toppled onto a power line, causing an extensive power outage. The Tripp Lite UPS kicked in as soon as the power failed. It sounded an alarm and kept the computer going steadily through some brief brown-outs and into the final blackout. I had plenty of time to shut down the computer normally. About the software, I downloaded Tripp Lite PowerAlert 12.04.0055--the latest version. At first, PowerAlert worked very well. Then, however, I updated my Java Standard Edition software to Version 7 Update 21. Now PowerAlert does not work at all. It takes far longer to load and none of its features is functional. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it--no effect. I assumed the Java update caused the problem, but the UPS manufacturer says there are no known incompatibilities. Be that as it may, I finally gave up on the software and uninstalled it for good. Now I use Windows power management instead. But I didn't buy the unit for its software. So I'm still giving the product five stars for the effectiveness of its hardware.

Power went off and I didn't even know
I purchased this for the work from home office. The power went off at the house during work but this little buddy kept me going. I have the modem plugged in so no interruption with the internet. I didn't know the power was off untill the Husband came in through the front door because the he could t open the garage. Best investment I've made. oh and power had been off for 45minutes.

Seemed great at first, then it shut down - company won't honor the warranty
I ordered this UPS on October 25, 2023 to use with my home desktop computer. We have a whole house generator, so I bought this Tripp Lite 750VA UPS battery backup and surge protector device, primarily to keep my computer from shutting down during the short time between any power outage and the generator start-up. All was great for the first year! We had several short outages, and the Tripp Lite worked well. At some point during the night of November 11, 2024 the Tripp Lite UPS shut down. To my surprise, my computer had turned off, and I couldn't get it started. After a small amount of sleuthing, I realized that the problem was the Tripp Lite unit. Even though everything was connected and we had had no power outage, the Tripp Lite was off and providing no power to my computer. I connected my computer directly to power, bypassing the Tripp Lite, and of course it worked. I was disappointed that it had been unexpectedly shut down, and had to make sure I hadn't lost any important information, and save the correct versions of the various documents that had been open. Per the owner's manual, I turned the Tripp Lite back on, but I didn't reconnect the computer to it. I was about to shut the computer down to disconnect it and reconnect it to the Tripp Lite, when I noticed that the Tripp Lite had shut down again!! Something was obviously wrong!! This UPS came with a 3 year warranty, and failed shortly after only 12 months. On November 12, 2024, I contacted Tripp Lite support (the company apparently has changed ownership) for help, via the product website, and got a quick response that I would be contacted in 48 hours. Great! However I never heard anything. On November 19, I reached out again, this time responding to the company's email that had promised a within 48 hour response. Again, there was quick response stating I'd be contacted within 48 hours. Unfortunately, there again was no follow-up (yes, I checked my spam folder and my account spam folder on my email providers website). I reached out a third time, on December 12. This time there was no response, what-so-ever. BE CAUTIOUS WHEN CONSIDERING BUYING A TRIPP LITE PRODUCT!! IT APPEARS THAT TRIPP LITE HAS NEW OWNERSHIP, AND IT APPEARS THAT AT LEAST SOME WARRANTIES ARE NOT BEING HONORED!

Provided network equipment backup for 75 minutes
I bought the AVR900U to replace a cheap no-name UPS that failed after less than a year. It is providing battery backup for the following network equipment: Peplink Balance 20 Router SB6141 Cable Modem Arcadyan KVD21 Gateway Trendnet TE100-S16Eg Ethernet Switch Aumox SG308P PoE Switch Obi100 VOIP Gateway Obi202 VOIP Gateway There are also several small cooling fans connected to the UPS. After installing the new UPS, I let it run overnight to charge the battery. Then I disconnected it from the power to test how long it would provide backup. It ran for 75 minutes before finally quitting. This is on a new battery, so I'll have to wait to see how long it runs after the battery gets older. I like the fact that Eaton/Tripplite provides a 3-year warranty, so if it fails before then, I can get a replacement. When the time comes, it appears that the AVR900U is designed so you can easily replace the RBC51 battery. Unlike many other UPS, it did not continuously beep while running on battery (which is very annoying). It only started beeping about two or three minutes before the battery died. Also, when I restored the power, the UPS restarted automatically and provided power to all the equipment. This is unlike a few other UPS I have used, which often fail to restart after the battery is run down and require you to push a button to get things going again. This can be especially troublesome if the equipment is at a remote location (as I have learned the hard way). A good UPS should always restart after power is restored, regardless of the battery condition.

Worked fine for 4 years
Got the 750 VA model- and lasted 4 years without any issue. OG battery died recently and got that annoying LONG beep and the backed up outlets stopped working. Got it all fixed by replacing the internal battery with AJC Battery Compatible with Leoch DJW12-9.0 T2 12V 9Ah UPS . Powered back up and working again. Hope it lasts another 4 years. We shall see.

Bought this unit a year ago. Started having issue less then a month in. The unit start beeping for no reason. Need to remove the battery every time. I have less than 100w total plugged on the battery side. Talked to Amazon and got the issue fixed but the problem reoccurred a month later. Ask Amazon, and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Been sending emails for more than 6 months now (4 Emails Total) Not a single answer from the manufacturer. I would look somewhere else if you care about quality and consumer support.

I used to love Eaton products, not anymore. Bought two of these new, both don't work! I bought two of the AVR900u. Everything was great until the first power outage occurred, shortly after the Amazon return window ended, and the units' would not charge back up after power was restored. Troubleshooting this I noticed that both units were mislabeled as AVR750u's and a small bit of solder fell out of one unit when it was turned over. Talk about bad quality control... Eaton says they will replace the units, in February 2022, 4 months or so after I bought them, because they have a global shipping crisis. So basically, there's no reasonable warranty on these, you're going to have to wait for months if your unit doesn't work! Test your unit with a power outage right away so you don't get messed over like me.

Este es el segundo que adquiero y me resulta conveniente la alta capacidad en entradas y soporte en entornos demasiado variantes en voltaje.
