Review: Simply the best text for religion and theology research - For over a dozen years I taught thesis research and writing at two major seminaries. I first saw Vymeister's text as a manuscript for the first edition. I decided even then to use it as a required text. Her second edition is appropriately updated to explain the latest electronic research tools. The work is thorough without being oppressive, even for grad students who've managed to get to the thesis stage still without learning how to read and write at the academic level--many of them. This is an excellent text for students who have the misfortune of attending seminaries who do not offer courses in thesis research and writing. Since all these skills are sometimes not acquired by divine revelation, Vymeister's helpful work is a lifesaver for unguided thesis writers who feel abandoned to the seemingly insurmountable task of creating a thesis or dissertation. (Jon Ruthven is the author of On the Cessation of the Charismata: The Protestant Polemic on Post-biblical Miracles--Revised & Expanded Edition (Tulsa: Word & Spirit Press, 2011) and What's Wrong with Protestant Theology: Religious Tradition vs. Biblical Emphasis (Tulsa: Word & Spirit Press, 2012). Review: Great resource for theology students - Excellent book on how to write a research paper from start to finish. The book includes every part of the paper or project, from thinking through what you want to accomplish to polishing your final draft, even a section on writing for publication. The sections are broken down in the table of contents very well, so the book is great for quick reference to answer a question. If you are a theology student, I highly recommend this book.

Amazing book!
My sincere apologies! Any feeback I gave was a huge mistake on this book. It was made for another book. I am so sorry if I cost you your business in anyway shape or form. Your book is an excellent book and I love it. You can away any credit you gave me if you can. Thank you.

Great book!!
Found this book has some great tips on how to research and write essay's and it gives easy to follow examples. Worth while if you are a student who has not studied for a while or someone who did not pay attention in school (like myself). But the book is what the title say it is! it does not cover exams and has a religious focus like the title says.

A REAL GUIDE
The book is presented in simple terms, but in-depth in content. It is practical in approach, but supported with adequate theory. It, therefore, makes writing of academic papers, theses and dissertations a welcome task to students at all levels. It gives a leverage to seminary students to present quality papers. I will recommend it to theology and religion students. Nicholas Darko (Rev)

A super practical, step-by-step guide to doing research
This is the clearest and best resource I’ve read on the topic. Aimed a theological research, this book does a great job of instructing on how to write book reviews, general academic papers, and dissertations.

Great reference
This book is a great reference book. I have read it several years ago, but never knew I have not submitted a review for it until tonight. I remember buying a copy for a Bible student friend in 2013. I recommend it to anyone doing research work.
