Really cleans up knives, but not so abrasive as other methods.

This is, by far, my favorite way of getting rust off scissors and knives. It will slightly etch the metal, so definitely rub off the rust along the grain of the knife or scissors. I've tried the products that have you soak the knife, scissors or tool and, although they work well, nothing beats the convenience and ease of this product. Soak in water for 5 minutes, wet down the rusted item and the rust comes off easily with a little bit of elbow grease depending on how rusted the item in. I could not be happier!

Don't let the picture fool you. This thing is tiny. For that price I was expecting something 3 times the size. Yes it did work great. I had a quarter sized rust spot on a hand plane and it took it off. There was still a mark there but the rust was gone.

Absolutely love this eraser, it's incredible, I soak it in water for 5 minutes, then just rub it on any of my utensils, and the rust comes right off

I restore and sharpen knives and this is a great product. Scours but doesn’t leave behind marks. Highly recommend.

Used with my Battle Sword.The product claims to be a rust remover, yet I find that it doesn't work very well for that at all. Regardless of what solution I pair with it in its usage, there are always better options.Maybe I just haven't found the right product to pair with it? I wish people could respond to Amazon Reviews.Otherwise, I believe that this is for delicate, light-duty use only.Other than that it is a cool block and I appreciate it's Japanese origin.

It cleaned up my high carbon steel bush knife nicely.

I use this on my axes and hatchets to remove rust from the heads on each prior to sharpening them on my edge pro inc sharpening system. Make’s quick work of rust
