I've just finished off my first 6 weeks of using GABA & wanted to write a review. First of all, I suffer from sometimes mild to severe anxiety & mild depression. Herbs have always been my first choice against medications because of less side effects and some herbs are safer than chemicals.I was using an anxiety formula but wanted to narrow it down to just one herb to see if it would work as good, so after some research I decided to try GABA. I wanted to try GABA because it is safe, has no side effects and is supposed to calm nerves, be a relaxant and help with sleep. The whole month I took one pill in the morning and one pill at bedtime. It worked right away for me and i noticed less anxiety, with an easier time falling asleep at night. Now that I have been using it for several weeks i think that one pill per time might not be as strong, so i am going up to 2 pills during the day and one at night to see if that helps some. Over all this has helped me feel less anxious and i am hoping that 2 pills in the morning will take the tension off on stressful days. These pills are quite big but not hard to swallow and do not have an awful taste like Valerian root does. Inside the pills is powder, which my doctor says is better to take because they digest better in the body. I wouldn't say these are strong as prescription medications are but for an herb they do work well.

Great product. I have taken gaba before and it helps me relax and sleep well. I hadn't tried this brand yet, but now that i've been using it consistently for the last two weeks, I can notice a significant difference in my sleep, and waking up I feel well rested and even wake up chipper in the morning. I have had ADD and ADHD my entire life. I hated taking Ridellan and then Adderal. Simone told me to try using GABA instead and also combine 5-htp with it and that it would help me out. Well let me tell you. I can feel the difference through out my day. I do sales and marketing so I need to be able to focus, be calm and not all over the place. I am definitely impress with the quality of this product. and will be ordering more again.For those of you that are like me. We rely on trusting honest feedback in the ratings and reviews. If you are not familiar, there are basically 3 types of OTC GABA. One is what you have here, which is your "garden variety" GABA, as i like to call it, then you have PHARMA GABA, which is pretty much in it's liposomel form. Then, there is GABA with a phenyl ring molecularly attached, making what is commonly known as P H E N I B U T. That version is a horse of another color. It is EXTREMELY potent and borderlines being a full blown benzodiazepine developed in Russia. Only THREE DAYS of regular usage can cause one to suffer from withdrawals. Stay away from it. But back to this product, although it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, we still have GABA receptors in our gut. In theory, that should be enough to bind to in order to signal the brain that we have more GABA in our system, thus the benefits we desire may take place. In my personal experience with GABA over the last 25 years, I have found that it tends to work better if taken sublingually under the tongue before swallowing. I would never use more than 1 to 2 grams at a time, as you may experience a sudden breathless feeling when it hits your system. Basically harmless, but you won't like it and you don't need that much anyway. We used it for increasing HGH naturally in the body to reduce fat during the cutting cycle in bodybuilding. Plus, it can help induce sleep. Ok, maybe a bit too much info but remember, don't take this as advice. Do your own research and talk to your doctor first. God bless.

On the advice of a psychiatric nurse practitioner whom I've known for a while now, I began taking GABA to reduce anxiety levels and to promote sleep. I take one capsule in the AM and another at night. After finishing the first bottle, my impression is that this product does help with anxiety, most of the time. As for improving ability to fall asleep and stay asleep, I can't say that it's made a difference. There have been reports that GABA supplements cannot cross the blood-brain barrier, and if that turns out to be the case, I'll stop taking it. But I just ordered a second bottle and will give it at least another three months or so. The price is reasonable and there haven't been adverse side effects. Neurotransmitters take a while to reach their effective levels.

This product is excellent for helping with mood swings. The pills are easy to swallow and taste great. I noticed results within just one week.

I am not a doctor and I do think that you should speak with a doctor or nurse before you start taking this product. I have been taking this product on a regular basis for about a month and I have notice better quality sleep and my mood has level out as I have been less prone to negative emotions. There are different levels of quality associated with this product and I picked this one because of a news article I read that tested several of these product for effectiveness and quality. This one ranked 3 of 10 so after seeing it was reasonably priced, I made the purchase. I am happy with the results and will purchase this product again!
