Works great, very relaxing. The heat can get very hot and the adjustable neck massager is heavenly. The kneading action is great too. I am a 6'1" athletic man and the pressure is great and makes my sore muscles feel better. The movement is similar to the massage chairs at my gym. I imagine if you are heavier than you used to be, that would play a significant role in how any massage will feel. My lastvhomedic massager lasted forever with lots of use.

I had the older model and honestly the settings on the older one (just died after 9 years so 1000% recommend this brand) I liked the tapping and other features that aren't on this one.. this one the rejuvenation and soothing feel the same. The headrest neck area is much stronger than the back area, heat works well. It's pretty much the same as my old one except the top is different. I'm still adjusting. I do however like that this one feels more sturdy (definitely heavier). I also really like the adjusting height of this model. A bit pricey but I bought my original on kohls and honestly they wanted way much more so this price is much better decided not to purchase from kohl's for that reason.

Purchased this for my husband as a Christmas gift after I threw out his old iJoy Human Touch Massage Chair. He loved the iJoy chair but the pleather was peeling off after 7 years of use. We had both tested the HoMedics Shiatsu Elite Cushion and really liked it. I took a chance on the Elite II and of all the massage cushion/chairs we've tested and purchased over the years, this one is the BEST. It beats chairs that are 5x more expensive.PROS:The most amazing feature is the adjustable height of the neck/head massager. I'm 5'4 -5'5 and this actually kneads my neck and trap areas. AMAZE BALLS. This was for my husband but I actually USE this massage chair all the time.The pre preprogrammed options are fantastic but you can easily customize the height, width, heat on or off, rolling or kneading to your body's content. EASY TO USE.There is a chair that you can purchase from Homedics that fits this unit with a place for the remote, but the cushion fit perfectly on our modern gray rocker swivel chair and really works with our modern decor. It's in our living area and isn't obtrusive (or ugly) and the gray color doesn't stick out. EASY ON THE EYESFriends take turns sitting in the chair and LOVE using it when they come over. It's considered the best seat in the house when they discover it. One of my dear friends is a board certified acupuncturist/massage therapist and she ADORES the chair and she usually doesn't like these things.Can't recommend this chair enough. No Cons to this item.

Item seems to work ok, however I was very disappointed to get an item that had already been opened and apparently used by someone else, especially since I paid full price for this. Because of that, I would not recommend buying from this company.

The quality of the deep tissue massagers is durable, it is a true deep tissue massager. It does have heat and you can feel it almost instantly, it is easy to use with the remote and has multiple options so it works for everyone’s preferences in my home, it has a decent length powder cord but could be a bit longer to make to make it easier to reach power outlets without having to move furniture but it is able to go on almost every chair in our home including the recliner. Overall very happy with the massager.

So, maybe this only works for tall people? At 5'8", the neck/shoulder feature of this massager was useless - it only managed to get my neck and lower skull, and wasn't comfortable at all.The back portion was good, but the range was terrible - it only moves maybe a few inches up and down, and doesn't come anywhere close to covering your entire back. Unfortunate, because it really was pretty comfortable. It does a nice job getting your lower back but doesn't come close to getting near your shoulder blades.The heat was good as long as the massager was moving. If you have it on "spot" mode it got entirely too hot and felt as thought it was going to burn you.I returned mine and am going to try to find another option with more or a range to cover your entire back.

I love this massage cushion. I have had back issues for 40 years. I always dreamt of buying a fancy massage chair to ease the pain. Could never afford it. I tried a massage cushion (different brand) at my uncle's house and had to get one. I shopped and read reviews to settle on the HoMedics Shiatsu Elite II. I have had it for a month and use it almost every day. I often wake up with a stiff back, so I head downstairs to use the cushion and it loosens me up. I really wish I had found it years ago. I feel like I have already gotten my money's worth in just the first month. My wife uses it too. Visitors use it and have mixed feelings. Some love it, others think it is "too hard", and one friend bought their own. I am 6 feet tall, so the neck rollers hit me on top of the shoulders, but that is where I want them. I can adjust them down to work my upper back. When you use the upper and lower rollers at the same time, you may need to adjust your body to get the correct pressure for each. Towards the end of the programmed massages, the lower pad can get very hot. I will definitely buy another one if this one ever stops working.

I have owned this for 16 months. It was really great and saved me so much pain. For that I give this 4 stars. I had no problems until now so I had to remove one star. =(Last night while using the lower back massage, I heard something snap. Since then, the massager no longer works! It is making grinding and popping noises. I don't know what I will do without it. Please help.
