So Far, SO Good!
I have not owned this sight long enough to comment on the quality of construction, so I won't. It looks nice and all but only time will tell us how well built it is. What it does do is perform exactly as one would expect. I took it to the range and set it up on my AR as one would with a scope. Starting close and moving out from there. It was a pretty incredible experience for this first-time laser user. Drop the rifle to chest level, put the dot on any of the large or small targets on the paper and proceed to blow out the 10 and X rings. It was just like you'd see on TV or a movie which only made the experience more surreal. Imagine a product working just like you'd pictured in your mind, that doesn't happen very often! The knobs made adjustment very quick and easy. It did come with a battery and I will let it run low so I can see how the laser reacts to the loss of power but it does not look like the highest quality battery ever made. Have a new battery ready from your store of CR123's. Since this is the house home defense long gun I reset the sight to 20 yards after playing with it for a while. The low price for a green laser is interesting since they are still pretty new and generally command a premium price. The light is bright and was easily visible at the distances I tried it on; it was tested on a very bright and sunny day. We will see how this relatively inexpensive device stands up to the test of time but it has certainly convinced me that, whether it's this make and model or something more expensive, I need to have a laser on my home defense weapons.

Bright, well made
Any Sightmark product is higher end. I used it to co-witness an Eotech. Works fine. Only thing that would be a plus is if they offered a cover for the laser lens to protect it when not in use. Turrets are easy to reach, positive click latching, finger screw is a pain but a lever unit is a ton more and not needed unless you pull it off all the time.. The remote cable is coiled and plenty long with great adhesive tape that does not fall off like the cheap stuff. It must be 3M or something but once it's on- it's on! Just can't beat it for the price.

Overall GOOD laser for rifle
UPDATE: I've had this laser for quite a while now (1 yr+), I've since picked up a second. Both are mounted on 5.56/.223 semiauto rifles. These lasers are great for the price. I'll still only rate it at 4 stars because they are not very rugged. Alot of people have the push button problem BUT I HAVE NOT. I do not baby my weapons but I do not overly torture them and the on/off button has not broke yet. For the price this thing is amazing. I pretty much only purchased these to emulate having a PEQ mount on my rifle but wanted something more functional then an airsoft replica accessory. Also, in extreme full blast desert sun the light can still be seen about 15 FT away, not good, but considering the conditions and quality, not bad. Pros: Definitely holds zero on 5.56/.223 Cheap compared to similar laser out there Easy to mount Cons: Laser can only be seen out to 15 yard in complete 100% bright sun against a black paper target Not rugged, device looks like it cannot take too much of a beating, def not waterproof.

Mounted on KSG
I mounted this on a KEL-TEC KSG,I was concerned about the recoil from the shotgun but it has not been a problem. The site holds zero and has not failed to come on and stay on during firing. Large knobs make for easy adjustments and on/off switch has not failed. I set this up for home defense so I wasn't interested in long range visibility. Sited easily at 75 feet and visible beyound 100 yd. No problems with mounts but took extra care to not over torque. It does everything I wanted and I did not experience any of the problems indicated in other reviews.

An Okay Laser, But Delicate
UPDATE 03/22/2019 On 03/05/2019 I went to the manufacturer's site, filled out a request for a replacement, and uploaded the same picture as posted here. The next day I received an email with instructions on how to send them the defective unit. I didn't get around to sending it to them until a couple of days later on the 11th, with UPS estimating arrival on the 15th. Today I received the replacement via 2-day USPS Priority Mail service. A one-week turnaround on a replacement with no hassle at all is excellent customer service. I've also had a chance to take the two original units to the range. Both units sighted in readily, and did not shift their point of aim. This was through a course of fire that consisted of about 75 rounds each of 5.56x45mm and 7.62x39mm ammo. So obviously you won't be using these units in their plastic housing as a hammer to drive tent stakes into the ground, but for their purpose I'm pleased with them. And Sightmark seems to honor their lifetime guarantee. ORIGINAL REVIEW I bought one of these lasers, and thought it looked so good I bought another one. I haven't had it on the range yet, but the green laser looks very visible at home, especially in contrast with my red lasers. With a simple, rubber on/off button, there can't any confusion about turning the laser on or off. And with a single CR-123A battery, it matches the rest of my emergency supplies. It may be a little big, but that isn't a problem for my rifles. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the review by Idonno, torquing this laser in place proved to be a problem. Even though the instructions say to 45-65 inch/pounds of torque, based on the review by Idonno I set my torque wrench to 25 inch/pounds of torque. This worked fine on the first laser, but when mounting the second unit the plastic housing broke at the bottom of the Picatinny rail housing (see attached photo). As near as I can tell, it broke at about the 20 inch/pound mark, which makes my torque wrench useless for mounting these as it has a minimum rating of 25 inch/pounds. I've ordered another one of these, and will go through the warranty process to get the broken unit repaired. I'll update this review after taking the two units on the range, and after seeing what happens with the warranty return.

Not to bad, I'll definitely be getting another
Great Laser for the money, it does have a beam in low light and the dark of course. I had it zeroed in after no more than a minute or two, and so far holds true. it does start to have problems below 32 degrees, as this is stated in the owners manual. the pressure switch works pretty damn well, my only complaint is the Velcro strips it comes with are not very adhesive. but it was nothing I couldn't fix. Also if my battery dies in my holographic sight, the laser is spot on through my glass as well. I will post some pictures in a moment.

Will mostlikly beak on install if torqued to directed specs.
This could have been a decent cheap laser sight if it could be mounted to the directed specs (45-65in pounds) but after 2 tries on 2 separate units I give up. I have the proper gunsmithing torque wrench so with the first unit I set it for 55in lbs. The mounting screw pulled out on the unit before it reached 55in lbs. To Amazons credit I had another the next day. Before I tried to mount this one I called Sightmark and checked to make sure the directions specifications were correct. They were. On the 2nd unit I first set the wrench at 30in lbs and I reached that without issue then I set the wrench for the directed minimum of 45in lbs and the screw pulled out of the unit like the first. I will be returning for a refund this time. This is either a poorly designed unit or it was produced (in China) with poor quality control. I highly doubt any similarly produced units could ever reach the torque value of 45-65in pounds on the mounting screw.

Great but...
Works perfectly and does what I need it to do. Also extremely easy to install and adjust the laser to what ever distance desired. One drawback, which is purely my personal preference and not a problem with the laser itself, is that is has a couple warning stickers on it that you don't HAVE to take off. But they look bad so I did. Anyway when I took them off, they left the sticky residue behind. That can be fixed with a rag and some rubbing alcohol. So I'm giving the product 5 stars but consider yourself warned when you encounter the sticker problem.
