SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter

I was a bit dubious when I read that there was a gadget that allowed our sub to be put anywhere in our room but without wires. This does the job perfectly. It was easy to setup and does a great job.

Some initial worry as I was asking it to transmit through two walls and a floor from my central media server rack to the subwoofer of the surround sound. ( forgot to fit the subwoofer wire when rebuilding) Despite this, with some shuffling around of the receiver to get a good signal, it works perfectly, so a simpler installation should have no problems.

My subwoofer developed a hum.Rather than remove the skirting board wherin the cable lies I decided to try this wireless malarkey.Works a treat, no hum and doesn't interfere with any other stuff, so I'm pleased as punch.So why only three stars I hear you enquire?Two reasons.The units are very cheaply constructed and feel like cheap tat, yet the cost certainly does not reflect this.I expected something of high quality given the cost.Secondly, the cables are ludicrously short, so unless your subwoofer is right next to a power supply, you will need to replace the cables, as I will.I would recommend you try a cheaper version first, as this seems very expensive for what it is.

Does the job

When added to my KEF LSX speakers they blocked the WiFi signal making the pointless. Switched the speakers between 2.4 and 5G modes, both blocked. Returned these 3weeks ago haven’t received a refund or a reply to two emails.

In terms of sound and function they are decent. My main gripe is the dazzling LED which on both units in site makes these less than discrete. Borderline annoying when you consider repairing flashing (frequently) and this blue haze eninating from your TV unit and sub. Not the aesthetic I wanted. Turning them over does little to stifle and I can't see a way to disable. Otherwise, customer service was good when shipped the wrong adapters originally. This was resolved with little fuss, so credit there.

The write ups and research for this product were very encouraging. Unfortunately the product does not live up to the hype. The feedback hum from the included connectors make this item virtually impossible to bear. Whilst there is no significant sound lag after adjusting delay settings, the low quality coaxial connectors more than disrupt the benefit of wireless connection. The SVS Subwoofer I connected to is more than excellent however and it surprises me that the matching wireless product is so poor quality.
