Mr. Heater F276495 Propane Acme Nut X 1/4-Inch Male Pipe Thread, Black,Multicolored,Regular

Bought it to replace the quick connect fitting on a first generation Weber Performer. I was concerned that the threaded portion would be too short, but it was fine. FYI, the line drawing in the product description is wrong. The threaded portion is not nearly as long as depicted in the drawing. Used Teflon pipe tape to prevent leaks. Tightened it with a regular (not deep) 3/8" drive 18mm socket. Tested for leaks and it passed the first time. Used grill the next day and it worked as well as it used to with the original fitting.

Serves it's purpose

Good quality. Used with a Marshall regulator. The knurling is substantial, makes it easy to grip with gloves or cold hands. Works great!

My old Weber grill had quick-disconnect couplings on both the regulator and supplied 20# tank. I even retrofitted a second tank with the quick disconnect fitting. For some reason that system didn't catch on and Weber abandoned it. It got to the point where my only option for refilling the tanks was an inconvenient dealer. When I contacted Weber they offered to sell me a new hose and regulator with the Acme nut fitting for about $30. This little gem replaces the QD fitting using the ¼" fitting at the regulator, at a fraction of the price of needlessly replacing those other parts. Yay! now I can get my propane at more convenient (and cheaper) places, including tank exchanges at any grocery store.

works I bought one of these like 6 months ago and it worked great. Then one night I decided I was gonna get hammered drunk and go try and use the bunsen burner that this was feeding gas for. I don't know what I did but I managed to break this little thing. Not in any visually obvious sense, but it leaked somethin awful the next time I went to heat with it. The moral of the story is, if you don't do what I did this thing will last you forever. I have since bought another one and it works great same as the first one!

I used this fitting to replace the quick disconnect style fitting on a Weber Genesis 1000 gas grill. It has the same 1/4" NPT as the nipple that was in the regulator and it was easy to tighten with a socket wrench. My only concern is the strength of the plastic acme threaded collar. Works now on fully pressurized tanks but will it fatigue in the future?

Great product. Used it on propane hose to our Big Mr. Buddy Heater. Great value.

This will adapt easily to a high volume regulator. But it wont handle the pressure due to a safety device built inside which stops the flow. If your for something that is for a high volume regulator: 20or higher - go elsewhere.

with this adapter i am now able to run my portable 15 feet from camper,have ordered a few items from mr heater and every thing is spot on,would never have found these items had it not been for amason

No problem installing in place of an old fitting. Snooped it for leaks..ok. Use a 3/4 socket to hold it from the inside when you install it on the propane regulator.
